  1. Really? That's interesting, I'll have to make a note to change websites where I get my data from, thanks for the heads up!
  2. I agree. So when are you getting a GTR? Wouldn't want to downgrade
  3. I ran the RS14s on my old VXR220 and loved them, I'd also previously ran the 1144 on the car too but found them to be only mildly better than the OEM pads, and certainly not worth the halo praise that the VX community tended to give them. The RS14s on the other hand were (as I'm sure you know) utterly amazing, and I would definitely give them a go on the Zed. For a combination of track/fast road use the Performance Friction discs + pads were my favourite setup on my old 350, along with the Endless fluid and the ubiquitous Goodridge lines. Never saw any fade regardless of track or temperature, although I'm not a particularly heavy braker especially on track.
  4. Not entirely sure how much they'd differ from a regular 050A, but those tyres are designed as OEM fit on a Mazda MPV (doesn't say which one) not a Zed. Probably not enough to make a huge difference, but worth bearing in mind and/or contacting Bridgestone for more detail on.
  5. Porsches are rubbish. All of them.
  6. Nissan stuff is very reasonable and comes in a concentrated form. I wouldn't worry about the hassle of putting anything else in when the proper stuff is so easily available.
  7. C1S on the rear, but still running T1R on the front by any chance?
  8. Too much awesome for one boat, I reckon.
  9. That's buggered my theory that only Roadsters kept outside suffer from these issues then!
  10. Sea air will definitely have an effect, how strong a one I wouldn't like to say though. Out of interest is your car garage overnight?
  11. So if it doesn't pass an MOT its not road legal Not passing an MOT and not being road legal are 2 different things. if your car fails the MOT then its not classed as roadworthy. This doesn't make the decats illegal. There is no law that I know of that requires a road going car to have a cat fitted. Spot-on, and well put I'd be more worried about not declaring decats than I would be if I had an accident with them on after telling the insurer.
  12. I'm no longer a mod, thought it was about time I stepped aside as I don't really have the time to commit to it anymore which isn't fair on anyone really.
  13. Oh no wait, I dont. Sorry 'bout that.
  14. Perfectly normal, it's just the mounts taking up the slack as the engine makes all that lovely torque
  15. Such an amazing band live, I saw them in '96 on their Mellon Collie tour, knocked my socks off
  16. I never had a returned wave in the zed I did manage to get a wave off a Cayenne owner the other day though which surprised me hugely! I still wave to Lotus and Zed cars regardless of what I'm driving, always will I think.
  17. It's actually what happens when you start mucking around with the group settings in the UCP
  18. I owned one for about 19 hours last year, amazing car that is so very capable and oh-so-quick
  19. Sounds relatively normal for most dbw cars these days, certainly I remember my Zed doing something similar even if I don't recall the exact amount of revs it sat at.
  20. I tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to roads and my life, in so far as I'll always take so much more care if I don't have a huge metal box around me. I always check both sides of the road at least four times when crossing on foot for example, although that might be an OCD thing too. You wouldn't just cross a road without looking, so why on earth some cyclists ride like they do and then complain when a car comes a smidgen too close is beyond me.
  21. Top marks on admitting your error and posting up, I suspect a lot of people wouldn't! Glad to hear that things are progressing on getting it mended too
  22. Nice Don't forget it's Human Remains rather than Human Resources though...! *ducks in case anyone in here works in an HR department*
