    Varrstoens are on

Love the wheels, very BBS-alike, but... If you have an accident whilst wearing tyres that are out of spec for the wheel, you do leave yourself open to possible insurance/legal issues. I'm not saying that you definitely will, but it's not a risk I'd ever feel comfortable taking. Just FYI, not having a dig or anything, I'm sure you've already considered this anyway
  2. But what if it was shaven, would that make it a lady patio? Depends on how good the shaving was. It may be more like a lady gravel driveway.
  3. Not that I mean it should ever be used as an insult, and it's a bit too strong in this case, I just love that phrase is all. /end_disclaimer_so_I_don't_get_in_trouble_with_the_mods
  4. Removing pictures Use of the phrase "lady garden"
  5. you just seem like a moaner im sure it kick your ass listen i dont mind critism but i dont like idiots you seem bit like 1. whether you think its not that nice no way can you call it ugly might not be your taste but its been made for shows. To be fair to him, whether someone finds something attractive or ugly is down to personal taste, something you've already stated I think it could've been phrased better, however technically he's got a point. Whether a car has been made for shows or not, there's always a part of the decision making process that goes into judging that's based on personal taste and not just how many plastic parts you can throw at a car.
  6. Don't forget that £26K is the maximum figure, not the standard one. I agree it's still too high, but we mustn't all think that every claimant is getting that for sitting on their backsides.
  7. Train, not the tunnel for you then?
  8. I hope the first thing the driver of the grey car did was to get out and kick the living sh*t out of the owner of the black one.
  9. Lock your doors, he's coming to bum you tonight. Probably.
  10. Even at the standard 276bhp they were quite nippy in a straight line in those days, so I suspect a 400bhp one is going to shift quite nicely.
  11. It's a bit too F&F for my taste as well, and I do prefer the pop up lights of the earlier models. They're decent barges though, plenty of power and gadgets to keep you entertained.

    19" Tyres sizes

Profile is what you're after here, and it's based on a percentage of the tyre width. For example (and done deliberately to keep the maths easy): A 200/50/18 tyre will have a profile wall of 100mm A 200/40/18 tyre will have a profile wall of 80mm The rolling radius will therefore be that much less on the 40 tyre than then 50 tyre. A 200/50/18 tyre has the same rolling radius as a 400/25/18 tyre, if one were to exist of course!
  13. Nigella. Back doors, smashed in. Tea made afterwards. Job = carrot.
  14. 1995 called, they want their hoax back Always check Snopes first
  15. If you went back to 18"s, I can guarantee you would though I thought the same between the OEM 18"s and the Rays, and it was night and day when I went back to the latter. Couldn't believe the difference it made tbh, it's adding weight at the worst possible place you can.
  16. Highly likely, RE050s are very good in the wet, even when worn. Give the release agent a chance to wear off though.
  17. You've changed from decent tyres with a stiff sidewall to cheaper tyres with a floppy sidewall, this will make a huge difference to feeling. Try pumping the pressures up 2-3 psi, see if that helps, but don't expect the crisp handling you had on the Bridgestones.

    RUN FLAT TYRES.

You can if you want, however you will absolutely murder the ride quality as the suspension wasn't designed for run flats. However, in terms of whether you can physically do it, there's no reason why not.
  19. It makes me so mad, I almost a kitten.
  20. Sarcasm is for the lazy, so I thought you'd appreciate it.
  21. So it's total benefits rather than just child ones, then?
  22. If you had searched a teensy bit harder, you would've found that you either use the hack or you change the head unit. If you really want sub-standard sound you can also use a tape adaptor. Loads of info on this out there.
  23. Sounds like a dodgy bit of reporting to me that one, probably taking other benefits into account along with the standard child one. At least, I would hope.
  24. But I know which would drive better whether it drives £20K better is another question entirely. The Porker nav system is one of the best I've used in terms of routing and clarity, but only having half postcode search is unacceptable in this day and age.
