Thought about this.... Bad points... Not 5 door and doesn't handle great, still looks good and goes tho Doesn't handle great??!! *bans* E39 M5 touring then. You'll be telling me that makes a horrible noise next.

E46 M3.

Only on new models after a certain date, so assuming they're carrying on production of the current one for over here they don't have to. At least, that's how I believe the legislation works else you'd have thought they'd have had to do it already.
-
Best? I guess lowering it if all you're bothered about is aesthetics, I don't think I've found anyone who doesn't think the car looks better lowered.

I agree, it's fine unless you want to hook up an iPod or similar, that's the only reason I changed mine. If you're sticking with CDs and the radio then the Bose is pretty good.

Been confirmed that it's not coming out over here anyway, so it doesn't matter what we think of it! According to PH, anyway. Give it a month or so and it'll be announced I suspect.

Bugger, missed that one! I guess it depends on what you mean by fun. On a track I'd be happy to spend all day sideways in a Zed, but on the road I'd rather drive the DSG TT and relax in comfier surroundings. I don't think either are bad cars, but if it's one with more personality he's after then a 350 wins hands-down.

Dunno, not sure if I'd spend serious cash on a move if there wasn't a huge change. Moving from an Elise to a Zed I get, or going from a Zed to an Impreza, but going from one front-engine coupe to another? Not sure, really not. That said, if I was in the mood for a change and wanted something fun with equivalent or cheaper running costs, I'd definitely be looking at the Zed

Back on topic, just heard this from David Berstein, FA Chairman, regarding appointing Capello's successor: "We have to do it properly and get shortlist together - we will certainly be including wishes of the fans, who are very important to us," DON'T LISTEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC YOU BUNCH OF CRETINOUS MONGS, APPOINT SOMEONE YOU THINK IS BEST! The public, by and large, are complete idiots and shouldn't be trusted with anything, so ignore them. The people running the FA are supposed to know better than anyone how to run football in England, so I would hope they would have a better idea than Joe Bloggs on what makes a good football manager. Of course, they also chose Capello, and the Wally, and Sven... Maybe they should just listen to us after all.

They've got video evidence of him shouting "f*cking black c*nt" to someone. That, along with the huge bad PR they'd get if they didn't go through with it, is probably enough they feel. I'll have £5 with anyone now that he's found innocent.

And I want to go and watch a football team playing intelligent, attacking football! Being a Leeds fan, I haven't seen a lot of that in the last couple of years

Agreed on the +2 thing, much the same as the 911. I use mine strictly as extra storage space, I guess the same would be said of the TT. At least you have that option though, no chance in the Zed! Interesting on the performance being so far apart, I'd have expected them to be fairly close when pushing on on a B-road blast. In my experience comparing twin-clutch cars to single-clutch, the ability to swap cogs so quickly makes up a lot in terms of pushing away any power disadvantage. I guess that must very much depend on the cars being tested, though.

As Chris said, all sports cars with fat tyres to this. Porsches are notorious for it, I can tell you that much.

That's twice in two days!

You know I love you all really sweetheart What I meant was that it's not really that much of a change in real terms of what you get from a car, and the Audi is a nicer place to be on the inside and arguably is a better screwed together car. Performance is going to be nigh-on the same due to the DSG negating the extra power from the Zed, and you've got the +2 on the rear seats as well. It's a sideways move rather than an up or down one, and unless you're really desperate it's not a move I'd make. I would go the other way though, bizarrely.

I'd rather drive an average RWD car than a good FWD one. Just my personal preference. I'd pick an E36 328 over a 197 Clio, for example.
-
I'd love a 3.2 DSG TT, they make such a wonderful noise Nissan could really learn from Audi on that front. I'd love to drive a TTRS at some point, as with a few tweaks they're monstrously capable cars, but I don't think I'd ever own one. At £30K second hand though, they're the veritable bargain. To answer the OP's question, I think I'd stick with the TT.

Er, no he wasn't. He was suspended because he missed a test, and even the FA said there was no suggestion he was taking anything naughty at all. I have no problem with the FA standing Terry down as captain, that's largely missing the point though. What they're essentially saying is that it's not okay to captain England if you're suspected of saying something racist, but it's perfectly acceptable to just play for England in that circumstance. That's just daft. I have no particular problem with Terry at all, when he's on form he's a fantastic player, but he hasn't been on it this season at all and probably doesn't deserve to picked on form anyway. The easy solution would've been just to make him ineligible for selection full stop, would've solved all these issues quite happily. It does make me laugh how everyone thinks that JT is a racist now suddenly, despite there being zero trial right now. Oh but don't worry, he's a footballer who shagged his mate's missus, therefore he must be guilty!

I vastly prefer the new wheels, the old ones always looked very static to me. Basically I'd want the old car but with the new wheels, I think. I wonder why they didn't give the obligatory power increase though? Seems a very unusual thing to do, normally that's what sells the facelift version of cars.

MR2 will be worth about £100 to the dealer as he'll want to shift it via auction, I wouldn't even bother asking personally. I'd be happy getting £500 off the price personally, if it's all as it should be.

It could, or it could actually make things worse. There's a whole lot of ground there with the whole Nurodisney thing, and either someone needs to find a way to make that profitable which the previous tenants couldn't, or it has to be replaced and started again with something different. The latter requires a serious investment, and that's just not going to happen unless one of the sheiks fancies a new playtoy. As much as we'd love it all to be 24/7 touristfahrtens, those days are long gone. There will be significantly more test days from the manufacturers being booked which impacts on the number of days you and I can drive it, and if prices drop then more people will go and it'll just get busier and you'll get more closures from accidents, which will lead it getting busier etc. It's a vicious circle.
-
Haggle in exactly the same way. If you're going to finance the car there may be more wiggle room in the price as they can get that back from the finance deal, but otherwise just haggle on the obvious. Of course, the car may be exactly as described and worth every penny of the £9K and therefore haggling isn't needed, that's rare though.
-
And don't forget to declare them as a mod to your insurer, as if your car is written off you won't get the plate back.
-
Speaking of plates, I just picked up one for the other half as a belated wedding gift. It reads DM04 JSM, which is our initials and the year we met. Doesn't need spacing, doesn't look daft, means something to the both of us. Job = carrot.
