  1. Assuming you get a full day's tuition included, then £350 incl an open pit day isn't too bad. I think I'd be tempted to look for another (cheaper) day where you can rock up to open pit, but pay an extra £20 or so for 30 mins instruction, which would be more than enough to get you started. You can then use the rest of the day as you see fit, and if you need some more lessons then you can always pay for another 30 mins. Bookatrack are ace at this kind of stuff, worth seeking out one of their days if MSV don't do that kind of thing. That said, I will reiterate that £350 for a full day with tuition is really good value, and will definitely be worth it.
  2. Can I stop over then when I do a track day there then? MSV are a very good TDO, so no fear about them running anything dodgy or unsafe. Don't worry about being slow, I can promise you that by the end of the day you'll be far from the slowest car on track, good tuition is worth seconds. A challenging track is more fun than an easy one, and if you drive within your limits you'll be fine. Go do it, and enjoy yourself
  3. Might as well stick to the list I reckon, unless there's something super-amazing going on. Happy to go with the majority, though Mileage is a great idea, fairly easy to work out too
  4. Top two are M3s, surely? And modded ones at that. I can see where Sarnie is coming from here, there's nothing particularly flash about the E90/92 body, but that's the charm of it in one way.
  5. Great write-up, very fair and balanced
  6. Who are you again?
  7. Bargain, no price on smiles
  8. No harness bar on the cage?
  9. Yes but will they pay out when it comes to yours? The views of 319 people: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews11381.html They'll definitely not pay out if I have an accident, as I'm not insured with them Switched to Sky this year as I preferred a tailored policy to a generic one, even if it cost me a bit more. I don't trust a single one of those review sites, regardless of whether it's for insurance, household appliances, or Metacritic for games. People only go there with a specific purpose which is to complain, so they only ever give the bad side. No-one wakes up in the morning and thinks, "Wow, I had great service! I'm going to go find a review site and tell the world!". I'll ask on forums and get genuine replies, rather than people with the hump and an axe to grind.
  10. And yet, AdmiEleBell are still miles cheaper than any of the other insurance companies. Given the size of the business and the risk they have to take with regards to claims, I don't think £300M is excessive really.
  11. If it ever happens, I'll send you the video mate.
  12. LIAR Even my missus would. And I'd pay to watch that, too.
  13. Yes there is, unless you've managed to completely destroy the laws of physics. If so, top job!
  14. Red or yellow. Definitely not a purple or pink, and you don't want to be mixing shades of the same colour on a car. Azure blue ones would look pretty tasty though, and quite subtle.
  15. Drop the stubby and the spacers, spend more on the discs and get some braided hoses.
  16. What happens if you go 4 -> 5 -> 6 rather than block changing? If it's okay doing it that way, then you know what my suggestion is going to be... FWIW my old car used to make odd noises when block changing too, so I just stopped doing it.
  17. Are they full coilovers, or separate dampers/springs at the rear as per OEM? I reckon a couple of hundred quid would be about right, could be a fair amount of ballache involved. Don't forget to budget for an alignment afterwards, too.
  18. Were they not coilovers from the factory then? If so, why do the new ones foul the wheels but the old ones didn't? And get those bloody awful neons out of that footwell, ya chav! Aside from that mate, it's looking really good.
  19. I learnt the hard way that if you want a car with FI, just buy one with it in the first place. Unless you like a lot of tinkering and fettling of course, in which case they can be great projects.

    Geneva 2012

I really need to drive one of those. Monkey Harris is getting a drive later on today, so hopefully by the end of play today or maybe tomorrow we should have an idea of what it drives like. Lambo Aventador J is bonkers but now my most desired item ever, and the Bentley SUV is just too ugly for words.
  21. Have a search, loads of info on this around here.
  22. I don't mind one team running away with it, I just want qualy to be a little closer which should make the race more of a battle. Still, it looks like Ferrari are going to be gash for the first few races which is great news
  23. Tarmac, are you sure that rear lateral brace doesn't fit? I only ask I had what looks like the exact same bit fitted to mine, and that was running both a K1 and the stock exhaust. I had no issues fitting that at all, at least with the Summit stuff.
  24. I win Dave To be fair though, the early blades were awful, and the Bosch ones are the first I've come across that were good enough to make me leave the PIAA ones behind. I'd exclusively used them for years, but I don't regret the swap now.
