  1. There's ways and means around that though
  2. But then the Zed owners you flash at wonder why the hell a Porsche is flashing them! I still wave to Zed, Lotus and TVR owners, but only Porkers get a flash and a wave. I get more returned waves from Porsche owners than I ever got from the Zed community, sadly.
  3. Always flash and/or wave. Always.
  4. Sounds about right, don't forget you get to haggle over the cost of TT as well No-one wants thirsty cars anymore, so he's taking a risk by buying yours off you hence the low price.
  5. Erm, I think they may have made a mistake there... She looks more 42 than 32!
  6. 10 man points added for admitting that, but 20 man points removed for admitting that ;) Take it to another garage to do in that case, I would. But definitely just shims for now, I'd leave the discs & pads as they are.
  7. Nah, they're just used to the typical Porsche owner walking in and handing their chequebook over! Get some shims and fit them yourself, it really is a very easy task
  8. What kit is it you've got fitted? Tbh if it's running fine then I'd leave it alone.
  9. It wouldn't be any different in principle than the law currently is with regards to getting people considered to be mentally incompetent and being able to take control of their funds. You'd still need doctors to rule on the state of someone's mind (and I'm no expert, but I'd have thought it easier to prove someone sane than otherwise), and a court to rule in judgement one way or another.
  10. Didn't say there were any, did I? Some people appear to have twisted some words here and there on both sides, often happens in heated debate and like I said, this place is much better for the vast majority of folk having open minds I never said I had a better performing car, but I'll take the compliment happily ta
  11. As far as the law stands, if it's an obvious mistake (which this clearly is), then the seller does not have to honour it regardless of how far along the process it gets.
  12. Would you care to elaborate on that ? Does it need elaborating? I thought it was fairly self-explanatory. On single-marque forums you always tend to get a lot of fanboys who think that X car is the greatest thing ever and there is nothing better. There's a few people like that on here, but not as many percentage wise as I've found on other forums. Which is a good thing, obviously. Any clearer?
  13. Check your belt. I suspect it's missing. Same thing happened to me on my old car.
  14. Sadly you always find a few like that on single-marque forums, this place is far better than most though I've found.
  15. Interesting, I can't quite remember how the last case ended. I remember there was one a couple of years ago about the woman who wanted to go to Dignitas in Switzerland but didn't want her husband convicted of murder upon his return, but didn't she die before the appeal of the appeal of the appeal went ahead? Can't quite recall the details. See, this is what I'm kinda getting at. Normally I couldn't care less about what happens to others, just as long as it's not happening to me directly. It's not an attitude that itself is very PC to have, I know, and it does me no favours sometimes but that's just me. However, in the same way that Dave clearly feels strongly about issues related to people who have some kind of mental handicap, it's the same with me and that's very unusual. I'd happily write letters and do the usual protesting malarkey over someone's right to choose their own fate, despite that going completely against what I would normally do.
  16. With regards to the news story today I have no particular connection to any of the matters involved in this at all: I don't know anyone who has the condition or something similar, and I've never been close to anyone who has had to go through this or even turn off a life support machine. So why do I feel so incredibly strongly that in a civilised society, and one which is capable of passing the most intricate of taxation laws, that the government should be perfectly capable of sorting the law out to allow a person the right to choose to end their life humanely? I've already said to Jo that if I ever end up like that, or a vegetative state or in any state that means I cannot live a decent life, I want the plug pulled ASAP. I could not imagine living like that, and nor would I ever want to. I respect the rights of others to choose if they want to carry on like that, but it's not for me. I can see no dignity in that at all. All this rubbish from the Justice Department that they can't change the laws as it'll effect other laws too much (namely for murder) is utter horsesh*t of the highest degree. We pay the finest legal minds in the country a fortune to write laws for us that have no loopholes, so surely they would be capable of this? Bit of a deep one for a Monday, but I'm interested to see how others feels about this.
  17. Hi Mark, Everything you need is in here
  18. I don't necessarily think the Zed is a quick car to drive, but it is a satisfying one. Feel and fun are more important to me than chasing 0-60 times.
  19. Polish plenum? Looked more Slovakian to me. *gets coat*
  20. That first cornering shot is epic, good going!
  21. It's a far quicker car than a Zed. This one is running the Prodrive Performance Pack which from the factory gives the car 310bhp, but this car is running a touch more than that. In-gear acceleration is mind blowing, and being one of the later cars with the DCCD means I can send the power rearwards and hold it there at the flick of a switch. If you didn't have to change gear, then this thing is easy as quick as my 911. Never mind that the grip on RE070s is phenomenal too, I can see now exactly why Subaru sold so many of these cars as B-road blasters over the years. Mental. Never, but then I'm not a huge fan of AG products in general. I use their tyre spray as it's quite a decent multi-purpose cleaner for engine bay stuff too, and their bumper shine gel is as good as any I've tried, but the rest of their stuff just gets left at the back of the garage now.
  22. In the same vein as a car bra, it's put on by numpties who want their cars to look great for the next owner, but utterly retarded whilst they own it
