  1. Agreed, which is why that link I posted is so helpful as it does it all for you. Hence me wondering what YOU thought about it, not what you think about wall maps in schools. And oh-so-droll over the colours. You know what I meant, but I guess it's an easy way to deflect a question. I mean, why that one? Why not the inverse, where Antarctica is in the middle and everything else around it, with the North Pole being The Wall? And you do realise that map disagrees with human's viewing of the day/night cycle, right?
  2. Okay, so why this map? Why not any of the other maps that are shown flat in 2D? And where do you stand on that link I posted, that shows you accurate size comparisons of countries?
  3. So what happens when I’m in Alaska and follow the same latitude line and carry on travelling west?
  4. Okay, so that works for travelling south, what about if travelling east or west?
  5. Hybrid, EV, it’s all witchcraft This is hybrid, all future Polestars will be EV though (allegedly).
  6. A picture is not an answer. Try explaining with words: What happens when you reach the edge? And what I meant is that flight paths are often chosen to comply with the law, meaning they must be within X distance of land/airport or cannot fly over X country. So that needs to be taken into account from both your point of view and everyone else’s.
  7. Having rewatched it, I do agree that road is not the easiest to see down, and so the speed used was at the lowest end of what I’d personally feel comfortable doing. I’m also aware that cam footage is notoriously difficult to gauge distance and speed from! I do think there’s a few spots though where the OP could’ve used all of the available road to aid his forward vision, allowing for the speed to be increased safely.
  8. I’m not saying I’d have been driving balls to the wall either, but 27mph is (IMHO, and only going from that video) needlessly cautious. I can understand the bus driver’s frustration, whilst not condoning his actions. In fairness we’ve no idea how the bus driver would drive with kids on board. I’m betting we all drive differently with others in the vehicle anyway.
  9. Although I suspect this will utterly blow some minds too... https://thetruesize.com/
  10. Distance and flight paths are very different things. Steve is spot on the money here, every counter-post is just hammering home his point. Also, coming back to my point, regardless of which shape of map you’re using, if it’s flat then what happens when you reach the edge?
  11. So three things jump out at me here: 1. You need to adjust your rear camera 2. You weren’t kidding when you said he was tailgating! That’s ridiculous, what a prat. No need for it at all. 3. And this falls well down the scale of things that are wrong, and I’m assuming that’s NSL there, but sub 30 is also a silly speed and no wonder he had the hump. Please don’t take my last comment too harshly, I’m not for one moment suggesting you deserved him driving like that, but I can totally understand his frustration. Still not sure I’d bother reporting it as that kind of driving happens every single day, but I can see why you feel aggrieved. Also thank you for sharing

So those useless EU ratings then Do me a favour, everyone: Pay zero attention to those EU numbers. Literally zero. Unless you're picking the scabbiest of tyres to put on the scabbiest of cars, they're of no practical use whatsoever.
  13. So let's assume the Earth is flat for a moment. I know, that involves losing a few dozen IQ points, but bear with me. What happens when I'm in Alaska, and then start travelling West? Or in Naukan and then go East? Literally, what happens? Can someone please explain to me why I don't just drop off the end of the world.

Rating? Please don't tell me you mean those useless EU ones...
  15. Chuck me an email and I’ll host it. You won’t prejudice any action at all, trust me.

*tyres They’re a bit more shopping trolley than sports car, but they’re fine otherwise. Don’t mix tyres front and rear though, replace all round if you’re changing brands/models.
  17. This year? Sod all really. F1 I'll pay an interest to if Lewis wins. WEC I'll watch most races to see the GT racing and (hopefully!) Alonso & Toyota fall flat on their faces at LM. Anything else I'm not really bothered about tbh, although I may see if I can get to an endurance GT event or two in the UK at some point.
  18. I think it’s because it’s hard to understand why you’ll pick one theory that has some evidence to pieces, but another theory with no proof you believe blindly. To me, that makes no sense.
  19. But yeah, magic sky fairy is okay but thumping great big rockets no.
  20. All about faith innit. Can’t disprove the impossible.
