  1. As above. Cut, repair, refill.
  2. Where is it blowing? Assuming its the connection by the backbox or on a flexi joint, then a £50 weld will see you right. You could go for a full replacement system, but if you're happy with what you've got then a repair will sort it.
  3. Surely the 370 can go anywhere, like the 350 could? I thought it was only the GT-R that was limited to NHPCs?
  4. If it was a 350, then I'd list the obvious faults of TADTS and clutch master/slave cylinder failure, but on a 370?
  5. Quick update with good and bad news. Start with the bad, which involved me reading a thread on PH earlier and laughing so hard I twinged my back something chronic, which hurt more than a little Was trying to go a whole day without painkillers, so that screwed that up nicely. On the upside, I managed my first poo today, which wasn't too painful although I was very careful not to strain! Still stuck in bed too, although my infrequent walks are getting easier which I'm very glad for, certainly feels like an improvement on before the op
  6. I'd pay between 11 to 12 for it. How many services has it had, and where?
  7. Top update, especially the bit about trucks!
  8. BOOM HEADSHOT
  9. You keep changing your username, so no one can remember what it is
  10. I would advise against any kind of decat then. Stick with a decent exhaust system instead.
  11. Cayman R is where the safe money is going right now. Limited supply, truly great cars, and deals can be had if you're flexible on spec.
  12. Try a 996 tubby. Definitely a step up in terms of power and chassis, and a whole different driving experience.
  13. Ummm...that would be a "No" to the above...I'm a girl, I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever!! I want the car to actually work after it's had its bits seen to Not being funny, but what has your sex got to do with it? Women are just as capable as men in sorting cars, and much like changing a wheel or doing on oil change this is a bit of knowledge that I believe every car owner should have and be able to do. . Best way to do it is to buy the plugs and tool yourself, and then arrange a meet where a few of you can all muck in and do it together. Summer's allegedly coming, would make a nice change rather than just hooning around the countryside?
  14. Hoping you feel better soon Dave
  15. You can spend £200 on a replacement x-pipe on gen2 cars, or £50 for a bit of pipe welded between the exhaust inlet/outlets and get the same result, so actually cheaper The PDK 'box cost is for the whole unit and all electronics at OEM replacement costs, and is equivalent to what Nissan charge for the 'box on the GTR so it's not outlandish. It's also the only reason I've got a warranty
  16. Running costs aren't far off, it's when the big stuff goes wrong that it costs. I'm talking repairs to an IMS-failed M97 engine (£4K+) or a PDK gearbox replacement (£15K). Just budget £1K a year into the warranty and you're covered for this though, and given that the Caymans are better on fuel than a Zed, you may not be as far away as you might think. Of course, some people can't live with the badge, but they're normally the same kind of people who get offended when others say they could never drive a Datsun
  17. They do with the optional sports exhaust on, but much like the Zed they're a bit muted from the factory. Get the PSE on there and they really scream at the top end though
  18. Get them changed, definitely. Get a spark plug tool and do them yourself, very basic job that anyone can do
  19. It was boring as hell and I hope we don't qualify if we're going to play like that. Would rather see Ukraine in the knockout stages, always nice to see the host country do well.
  20. It really means you're not driving it properly
  21. After 18K miles, how would you know? OEM specs are very generous anyways, always best to take it to a specialist who can set the car up for your style, rather than just get it in the green
  22. Same reason people buy a car that can do more than 70mph in the first place, I reckon.
  23. Cayman S is a superior car, but it costs more too.
  24. So what would you consider selling it for then?
