  1. Get them changed, definitely. Get a spark plug tool and do them yourself, very basic job that anyone can do
  2. It was boring as hell and I hope we don't qualify if we're going to play like that. Would rather see Ukraine in the knockout stages, always nice to see the host country do well.
  3. It really means you're not driving it properly
  4. After 18K miles, how would you know? OEM specs are very generous anyways, always best to take it to a specialist who can set the car up for your style, rather than just get it in the green
  5. Same reason people buy a car that can do more than 70mph in the first place, I reckon.
  6. Cayman S is a superior car, but it costs more too.
  7. So what would you consider selling it for then?
  8. I really hope that was a joke! LOL Why would it be a joke? It's a 10 year old imported car with 80k on the clock at the basic level, you're only ever going to add a couple more grand on it with the mods you've got on. How much were you thinking then out of interest?
  9. Probably about a grand more than a standard one, unless you get the right buyer. I'd pay about £8K for the car as it is, maybe £8500.
  10. Was hoping I might be able to make it, but it's just going to be too painful to travel that far even in the Jag, cheers anyway though fella. Will have to sort some FaceTime action out I reckon, will be just like being there! That sounds awful, at least I've been able to move when my back's been bad! Feeling much more mobile today, been up and down stairs and everything. Still haven't been for a pony yet though, not looking forward to that as I suspect it'll be a bit awkward/painful

Terrible photo, I hope the colour is better than that in the flesh.
  12. Probably because it looks very much like a for sale ad, and you don't have 100 posts.
  13. Dropping £500 on a £7500 advertised price is fair I think, probably push for £7200 if it was me though.
  14. Hopefully, petulant little *****. Spain are going to have to bring on a striker, if for nothing else than to make some rus and open the defence up a bit. Too easy for the Italians right now, albeit they're doing a good job.
  15. Some good advice there, cheers for that bud Always good to hear from experts on what's best to do and why. Thanks for everyone's positive comments too, means a lot to me to read them.
  16. Lols you're all gits! @Marzman: Cheers for that dude, despite how common back injuries are its surprisingly hard to find someone else who has been there and done it. I think I'm lucky in that I've had no muscles cut, fused bones or bits added, but I'm definitely aware of what's been done inside and I've already seen a physio regarding some basic muscle exercises, will definitely keep it up after reading what you've said. @Dblock: No idea how it happened in truth. I think (and this is my own hypothesis) that it goes back to when I was 12/13 and was playing hockey at school. Bent over to whack the ball, back gave way, had about a week off then it was fine. Fast forward to 5 years ago and I literally woke up one morning in absolute agony, didn't do anything to set it off at all that I can remember and had been in pain ever since. Was quite funny in hospital, it must clearly be the kind of thing they see a bit often in a certain type of person, as they kept asking me if I did it playing rugby or football: A less talented player of either sport you couldn't hope to find! Not very comfortable this morning, so am dosed up on the good stuff again
  17. Thank you Sarnie That Germany game was bloody awful to watch, so incredibly dull. Hopefully Spain put on more of a show today.
  18. I love the Canary Isles, used to live on GC 10 years ago I quite fancy a trip to the south Americas at some point, the other half isn't as keen though sadly.
  19. Toboggan, brilliant! Not heard that one yet I've already decided that I'm going to take up a martial art when I'm better, always wanted to become a ninja of sorts so that's a personal goal for me
  20. Some of you may be aware I've had some on-going back problems over the recent years, and having finally had enough of the pain I went under the knife on Thursday afternoon to try and get it sorted permanently. Basically, what I had was is what is normally referred to as a slipped disc, although such a thing is impossible medically speaking. What actually happened is that part of my L5/S1 disc has prolapsed over the years and started putting pressure on my nerves around the spinal cord, causing significant muscle control problems (my left calf is 6cms smaller than my right) along with a fair bit of pain, as I'm sure you can imagine. It almost stopped me walking down the aisle at my wedding at Christmas, hence my desire to get it sorted for good. I went privately so I could pick my own date to make it easy for work reasons, and as I said the op was on Thursday. Surgeon went in, removed some bone, pulled the muscle to one side then cut out the dead pieces of disc pressing on the nerve. Should've been a 1 hr op, took him twice as long as it was much worse that he thought in the end. Woke up 6pm and instantly had more movement in my leg than I've had for years: I very nearly cried with happiness. The last couple of days have been a bit tougher than I would've liked though. I stopped overnight Thursday, so Friday was spent taking painkillers and trying to walk to the bathroom, a task I failed as I fainted into the nurse's arms. Finally cracked it and came home yesterday evening, so today has been my first full day at home. Woke up in a lot of pain this morning, very uncomfortable to lay either on my back or on my side, so wasn't very happy at all. Have taken some tramadol now though, fabulous stuff! It's a very long recovery period now: 6 weeks before I see the consultant again, at least 2 months before I can drive and a further month before I can consider going back to work. That's a long time to be spent laying flat on my back, I'm already bored of these four walls! Still, plenty of time to lecture folks on here about tyres and stuff I guess I apologise in advance if I'm more miserable in the coming weeks, am going to try and use this place as my go-to forum for when I need some cheering up though, you lot get me in stitches more often than anywhere else anyway
  21. South Americans have to play in Europe though if they want to earn good money, it's just not available to them over there. If top money was offered in salary and endorsements, many Europeans would probably swap continents. Our strength in depth at the moment is rubbish, but it hasn't been for the last 10 years: It's been pretty good, our tactics have just been awful. This time we've got average players all over the pitch, but with a tactically astute manager. We may do okay, but it won't be pretty. Our league is so fast and furious to watch, I don't know why the national side has to slow everything down so much. I'm looking more forward to any of the Spanish or German games than I am the England games, put it that way.
  22. Would it be any different to when Greece won in 2004? The country was delighted obviously, but it was a one-off and football as a whole considers that side to have played the worst football ever at international level and to have won a trophy. On the other hand, Brazil never win everything but they're still heralded correctly as footballing geniuses. They also happen to win a hell of a lot anyway, so clearly beautiful football goes hand in hand with winning. That's why it's so important to push the benefits of playing attractive football over grinding out 1-0 wins all the time IMHO.
  23. I've got money on Holland and Germany, hoping ze Germans do it though. They play some great football with a young team, we could learn a lot from their attitude.
  24. Match whatever you're running on the rears, don't mix tyres. Best way to stay ditch-free.
