  1. Either pay for a specialist to take a look, or save your money IMHO. Generic checks like the AA and RAC are too obtuse to be of any real help, no-one can be a specialist on every single make and model of car so you can't really expect them to know exactly what to look out for.

The Perforation From Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels which suffer from inside-to-outside perforation from corrosion as a result of defective materials or workmanship. The period for the Perforation From Corrosion Warranty is either 6 or 12 years (depending on the vehicle model) from warranty start date, regardless of mileage driven. Please see the table on page 17 for which applies to your vehicle. This warranty requires that the vehicle is inspected according to the inspection schedule on pages 38-46, and repaired if necessary, by an authorised Nissan dealer. Technically, they're correct. No hole, no warranty claim. Clicky
  3. That's not really an option, as I didn't have the money to buy an engine in the 1st place, that's why it went through the insurance. But now you're out of pocket because the payout won't cover the finance, and you're down a car.
  4. Seriously, get them to add protected NCB on now.
  5. Tbh, if they're that cheap then who cares if the claims department is rubbish? As long as the ballache you get is less than a couple hundred quid worth, then you're still in the good.
  6. It's the decat, you need to either run cats or get some plugs to lift the O2 sensors out of the exhaust gas.
  7. You fill out the purple section for export, not the usual section. It's fairly obvious what to do on the V5.
  8. Could always have cancelled the claim and taken your car back that way, fixed it yourself.
  9. They're fine, but check that everything is in order with the paperwork first and do check about mods as said.
  10. There isn't. That's the exact trouble I found when I purchased the proper connector from the US a few years back, and had to sell it on. OP, save your time and money, it won't work.
  11. You can protect your NCB after 4 years IIRC. This is exactly why it's worth doing, just in case. Maybe give them a ring tomorrow and update your policy, as you never know if your car might get damaged next week.
  12. Search functioned is borked right now, much better off using Google and site:350z-uk.com to find what you need.
  13. As good as any I guess, and at least he has time to spend some money on players he actually wants. If he doesn't succeed at Spurs, his career will be shot I suspect.
  14. There's a few guys I know going, they're planning on getting there for between 5am and 6am tomorrow to give themselves the best chance of actually getting into see some of the racing! Me and the missus were talking earlier this year about maybe doing an F1 race and I did think about Silverstone. I think I shall change my plans somewhat now and choose a different one for next year...
  15. Shambles. Bernie, take the British GP away from Silverstone, make them learn a lesson because they clearly haven't.
  16. Git, you stole my line! Tiny garage in Oxney, Essex.
  17. That was everything, all in. They weren't in great nick beforehand, put it that way!
  18. I've just had both sills fully done on the MX-5 and that cost me £200, so probably around that ball park I guess.
  19. Wish I had two dykes here, I'm bored at home today.
  20. With for me. I just find the 350 odd-looking without a spoiler.
  21. I thought you just bought a big 4x4 to enable you to drive in all conditions!
  22. Rightfully they only have to do what the manufacturer says, which is the rotate and regrease sadly Good luck, let us know how you get on.
  23. Might possibly help if you told us what the other car actually is
  24. Right, forget the warranty, that's not going to help you here. Your argument is with the supplying dealer. You pointed out a fault within the first three months of ownership, so it'll be presumed that the fault was there from the time you bought it. Take it back to them, and ask them again to repair it. If they won't then get that in writing, along with you asking them to do it and dates of exactly when you originally asked them. Get a copy of the Nissan tech document stating the fault and how to repair, and then get that repair done yourself. Take the bill and go to SCC, you have an easy case here under the SOGA. Make sure you have all the correct paperwork though, especially with regards to dates.
