Solid tyre, certainly fine on lighter stuff like the Elise, never tried them on a heavy car though.
  2. But it was a death trap, would you like me to lie and say it was fine? I nearly killed myself on the M1 changing lanes when the back end wanted to overtake the front, which never happened on tyres that kept the stagger. If you want to run wider rubber then fine, just match it at the rear, it's not that complicated. Never scrimp on tyres, brakes or condoms. That'll get you through life, that will.

    What a BERK!!!

You get minor pressure going back when the exhaust valves open the same time as the intake valves, doesn't happen often but can do under certain partial load conditions, for economy and emission reasons. It's why so many mk3 MR2s had blown engines due to their pre-cats breaking down. Unlikely to happen, but not impossible. No warranty on them then, gotta be worth a shout for a goodwill gesture though I reckon. Where/when did Will get them?

    What a BERK!!!

More worrying is if the engine has scavenged any of that back in... That sucks dude, when did you get them?
  5. Sadly, that was probably the case too. BMW can provide a ton of support vehicles at the drop of a hat, and were probably happy to suck up the losses knowing that every day those vehicles would be on the tellybox I'm not sure if I'd prefer UK-built cars at a higher cost, or foreign ones for less. Neither is a perfect scenario really.
  6. Who's to say the companies mentioned (well, clearly not RR) weren't approached, but came back with a more expensive option than BMW?
  7. Actually, that's a fair point.
  8. Wire brush and a coat of Hammerite will sort that.
  9. Driven a car with reduced stagger? Yup, and it was a bloody deathtrap, and I'd never ever do it again. To be fair it wasn't my choice of tyres anyway, they came with the wheels I was purchasing but the tyres got binned literally as soon as I got home.
  10. Someone saw the same episode! I'm still really full
  11. I love the programme so much, Adam Richman is my hero. As such, and in deference to my healthy lifestyle I've been living for the past 18 months, today I decided to create one of the delicacies that I saw on one his shows this week. First, sear a pork shoulder in a hot pan then pop into the slow cooker: When it's done, pull that pork and lay onto four tortilla breads: Add a tin of baked beans: Add an onion that you put in the slow cooker as well: Next, a good helping of grated cheese: Now panic as you realise that there is no way this is all going to fit inside just four tortillas, so grab another four: Pop on one tub of hot salsa and one tub of coleslaw: Commence rolling: Wrap that badboy in tinfoil, to hold it all together: Cut into two portions and serve Eat! Yes, I ate it all (well, my half). And yes, I was incredibly full afterwards, but by god was it amazing!
  12. Shoot me a PM and I'll take a look at it if you like, seeing as how you've been pretty good about obeying the rules on here
  13. Hmm, good question. Tbh I'd write an ad like this: Nissan 350Z GT Coupe, 2003 55,000 miles FNSH 6 months tax & MOT Then some blurb about how long you've owned it, how lovingly you've looked after it, no expense spared, only used at weekends, that sort of rubbish highlight any bad points next, be honest but don't make them sound the end of the world, then finish with a few lines saying just what a great example it is and you'll miss it. Generic rubbish perhaps, but it works and will make your ad stand out. Front load it with the important info so you don't waste people's time, and then gush but don't put stuff in like electric windows, airbags etc as no-one cares and it's irritating to read. All just my opinion and I should state that I've never sold a car privately, so this is only what I like to read when browsing ads!
  14. Dodgy photos or description then. If a car is advertised well, and is a good price, then 9/10 it will sell. You're not based in Scotland are you?
  15. If it's not selling, and you've had no interest, then it's priced too high. Sadly, that's the bottom line here I feel.
  16. Doubt it, they don't ask when you stick a Failside kit or similar on. Definitely not a kit car, as it's not been built from a kit.
  17. Damn straight. Put it another way, would you rather drive that or the equivalent age Impreza with the usual garish body kit and wheels slapped onto it?
  18. Would you drive it? Yup, why not? As long as there's some supporting mods, and with a FMIC conversion I'm assuming there is, that would be a really fun car.

    Tyres Help

    Perfect analogy!
  20. I quite like that. Apart from the hideous steering wheel, I think that's quite a smart looking car and takes the best bits from Audi and BMW and merges them with a 90's turbo nutter barge. Top idea

    Slightly better, yes

    Tyres Help

You'd love the tyres on my MX-5 then, £30 each

    Tyres Help

I'm guessing that's probably a dealer-fit quote for OEM tyres, whatever they are on a Civic.
