  1. Interesting fact: There are only 3-4 photographs of Armstrong on the moon. All the famous pictures we know about are of Aldrin, as it was Neil using the primary camera. Very sad, proper old-fashioned hero.
  2. I don't even bother with foam any more. It just adds another layer of faffing around to the washing process, with very little gain. Shame, as it's so much fun
  3. Because they look utter, utter chavtastic sh*t. If you want narrow lights, make them: Don't stick plastic tat on top of your existing lights. Pet hate, sorry. Get them if you like them though.
  4. Boxster if you have a slush fund Elise if you don't /thread
  5. To be honest, if you were clever enough then they'd never find out. Parents take out cash from their bank, and give it straight to you. As long as you don't put it all into your account in one go, or even better if it never touches a bank and you don't rush off and spend it on a Ferrari or anything daft, they'll never know. Whether you'd feel comfortable taking that risk is up to the individual.
  6. Nice one, would've missed that otherwise. I always find Yank reviews a tad odd to read as they always look for different things than us Brits, but MT are pretty fair in their comments. Terrifying to read about the LP700's brakes though! Good to see the BRZ do well, and I wonder where they've got their info about the 274bhp version coming soon though... Would've loved to see the Boxster in there as well as the 911, or even instead of. Why on earth Ferrari declined the use of a 458 though I've no idea, I can't imagine it not beating those cars there especially considering the results.
  7. Well, yes, they do. However the RS5 has a V8, and I very much doubt that anyone would buy an RS5 and then drop the V10 into it. I strongly suspect that the reporting bods have got their lines crossed somewhere. In fact, I'd bet a packet of Hob Nobs that the RS5 in question is standard under the bonnet, barring the limiter removal and maybe a remap.
  8. It's a crap piece of reporting, as it is everywhere in the media today and not just on Sky. The big thing here is that he was responsible for loads of burglaries in the area, and the police had been after him for ages, and finally he was sent down for 9 years for his crimes. The fact he was doing 180mph trying to get away is neither here nor there really. RS5 will happily do almost 190mph if you remove the limiter.
  9. Especially one fitted with a Lamborghini engine, very weak reporting
  10. Fantastic write up and pics matey, great to read even though I'm not a cyclist myself. Congrats on doing it, that's a great achievement.
  11. All cars have their flaws. I'd be more trusting of a VAG car than I would a Merc these days, although Mercs are definitely more reliable than they used to be.
  12. That's per corner for both tyres and brakes.
  13. UPDATE Came close to throwing up, so went and had a nap. Feel better now.
  14. Just started this tonight. Holy f*cking crap, I'm dying. Just doing the fit test is a killer. Numbers below: 113 32 60 28 6 6 12 31 F*cked.com
  15. No-one shoud drive just one car forever, if you've got the itch then scratch it.
  16. The GT-R being twice as expensive to run as the Zed? Yup, I can believe that. Nice work
  17. It's not about being faster. If it was, I'd go and buy a £1K MR2 turbo and whack the boost up. It's about how the different cars feel to drive. Also, can you please avoid using txt spk. Thanks.

    Heart Broken!!!

Shocking stuff. Have you tried calling Racing Hart and asking them?
  19. If I was tracking it I wouldn't, if it was only on the road then I would.
  20. I didn't notice that it had fallen over until after I'd taken the pics, really irritated me as that was a brand new pad and I've had to throw the bloody thing away now I do normally stand it up on the handle, honest!
  21. The Porsche sports exhaust (PSE) will sort the noise, don't worry about that.
  22. Bah, no-one comments if you don't give them pics apparently After a marathon session on Sunday detailing a mate's new E46 M3, the front of another 911 and the side of an MR2, I got carried away today and did my own 911, the Impreza and... The MX-5! For the first ever clean since my ownership! Before: After: Somewhat better, no? Far from perfect, as the paintwork is beyond saving at points (you can see where the wing was given a quick coat of spray can black paint by the previous owner in the clean wheel pic, that'll never come up shiny) but the bonnet came up pretty good despite the dull finish, and I'm quite happy with the wheels too. Shots of the new seat, gearknob and steering wheel:
