  1. I'm going on the principle that I've tried them on a mate's 997 and they're incredible, and that all the big manufacturers are now fitting them to all their cars, and that they're lasting roughly 70% longer during hard use than the PS2s which is simply astounding. The amount of feel you get on them is wonderful too. The AD08 is a good tyre, don't get me wrong, but it's not a patch on the PSS.
  2. Agreed. You're a f*cking idiot.
  3. Not even close, PSS are the best tyres out there right now period.
  4. Yellow ones? Bought a pack a while back too, pretty good quality and you can treat them as disposable for that price
  5. Given a one race ban and €50K fine. Good.
  6. Grosjean is a massive bellend. So, so lucky not to have hit Alonso.
  7. Exactly the question I was going to ask. Have you ever had any problems getting around in any car in the last 10 years in the winter? If the answer is no, then I wouldn't bother with winter tyres. If the answer is yes and often, then I wouldn't bother either as the Zed isn't going to make life any better. If the answer is yes but only a handful of times then you could consider it, but only you know if the cost is worth it. Living in Essex, there has only been maybe 2-3 days a year where the weather has been that bad that winter tyres would've made a massive difference, so I don't bother. The cost is just too much to be worth bothering about,
  8. £5K of driver training will make you an incredible driver, and make more difference to your car than anything else.
  9. Hand your man card in at the door please on your way out.
  10. Both. I've had some via bank, some via independent. All times I read the small print and knew exactly what I was covered for and what I wasn't. Sometimes I took it, sometimes I didn't. I'm really not trying to sound all holier than thou or anything, I promise, but I cannot have any sympathy with people who sign things without reading it first. Sorry
  11. DPA doesn't apply here. I'd love to know how you knew he bought it on eBay though, just random googling?
  12. You have to ask the DVLA, they're the only ones who can help you. You need to write to them, pay the £10 fee or whatever it is now, and give them a good reason as to why you need the info. I can tell you now though that they won't release the info for that, so you might as well save yourself the time and money.

    Mark up!

Bearing in mind they have to warranty the car, so they're either giving themselves a fairly sensible margin in case anything goes wrong OR they've already spent that money to fix the bloody thing and now have to reclaim it back from the sale. Seems a reasonable thing to me.
  14. That's their own fault for not reading the wording properly IMHO.
  15. The guy sorting your geo out will be able to sort this out for you. It's pointless us giving you any measurements as everyone likes their car to handle differently, so just tell the chap doing yours how you want the car to feel.
  16. Only claim if you were genuinely mis-sold. All these idiots just claiming because they fancy some free money are p*ssing me right off. I've had PPI on all my loans, and I knew exactly what they were for and I had the choice whether to take it out or not. If I'd have been pressurised into taking the PPI then I wouldn't have had the loan.
  17. If it was purely for the drive, then the 182 would get my vote. Stunning little cars, so much fun to rag the backside off and that engine is wonderful BUT If you're going to be putting a kiddy in the back you're not going to be driving like a nutter anyway, so you might as well get the quicker Megane.
  18. They are utterly fabulous, get the matching handbrake one too. Why more people don't buy these I don't know, they're utterly lush.
  19. Ooh, actually I think your link is the correct one, that's ringing bells looking at that. That really is your only answer sadly, there's no easy way to sort a replacement head unit out in MOST Porsches sadly. Is it the PCM1 or 2 system you've got in your Cayenne?
  20. Your problem is the MOST system, and how it integrates with the Bose amp in the Cayenne. There are ways round it, but none of them are cheap as a mate of mine is doing a similar conversion in his 997.1 with the Bose setup. Basically you'll need a connecting box that can take all the inputs and make them talk to each other, IIRC it's in the region of about £300 and you'll need to import it from the US. This is the puppy I believe, probably works out around £300 when shipping + import taxes are taken into account.
  21. 14.7 is stoich, no need to run that rich under idle as there's no load on the engine.
  22. Definitely sounds like a massive air leak to me. Check all the hoses, gaskets etc. Don't be too concerned about those AFR readings, under light cruise and at idle those numbers are fine. It's under WOT and boost you want to be seeing 12s really.
  23. Another thread inquiring about OBDII readers? Fine... In short, no. None of the OBDII readers you've posted will be able to read anything on your car if you've already tried another tool. They're all the same really, and the flood damage you're describing could very well be terminal if all the electrics are goosed.
