  1. Easy one 'cos it's late and I'm tired lol
  2. I want to say Jag XJ due to the silver gill.
  3. Check pressures, then get the bloody geo sorted! Assuming they’re good, then accept the limitations of your tyres and/or talent.
  4. Sounds like an air leak post MAF to me, so I’d def start by checking all the connections from there to the throttle body.

    Understeer

£400 is a lot cheaper than randomly changing geos and parts until you get it right, and tbh that's a bargain assuming you get a decent amount of seat time.
  6. Well folks, the competition for Most Retarded Post Of 2018 can now be closed, as it looks like we have our winner.
  7. Or you could’ve listened to me when I told you it makes bugger all difference
  8. Each corner can take 610kg, so 1220kg over the rear axle or twice as much as your calculation two tyres per axle, remember. You simply can’t buy tyres anymore that aren’t suitable for modern cars unless horrendously modified, like monster trucks. Insurers won’t give a toss about tyres as long as they’re e-marked and not bald.
  9. Makes no difference in terms of replacements, anything in 19" will be fine.
  10. Stop rubbing dirt into your car, that’s how you get scratches!
  11. Either or, tbh it's not really relevant to a main dealer what indies charge as they're not in direct competition, and you'd expect to pay more for the value of the stamp and the nice sofas, free coffee & biscuits, pretty receptionist etc. Just how much more is a value only you can decide
  12. Bingo! Cheeky one as they're the same light cluster as the AE86
  13. One for the Jap fans amongst us...
  14. ^^^ That. However, don't forget you can haggle prices at a main dealer, they're no different to anywhere else. Might be worth it when you look at the potential value that could be lost to Mr Numpty who wants to buy your car but feels it's crap without a FNSH.
  15. Yup, sounds like it to me. If you don't use some kind of lubricant, then you're simply pushing grit into the paint. Using a QD and a microfibre really isn't much better either, certainly not a patch on a proper wash.
  16. Sorry if my earlier thoughts came across a bit negative Col, I don't think there's an answer that pleases everyone anyway. Although as long as you please me then I'm happy enough I'd never, ever use FB for anything technical, as it's simply crap at storing info. That said, for stuff that you really don't need to store info long term for (like meets) it's perfect. Also you're spot-on about noise filtering Stu!
  17. Or maybe ditch the regional meets altogether. If no-one is using them then just let FB et al take all the traffic on there, and use here for the national big meets.

    Car cover....

Just be aware that you need to make sure your car is spotless (i.e. freshly washed) after every use before you put the cover on, else you're going to add even more scratches than you will using a cover anyway. Tbh unless you're living next door to a building site or leaving the car for 3 months at a time, you're better off just waxing it and leaving it outside. So no, I have no idea what's a good cover as I would never use one
