  1. If it's taxed, it must be insured. If you SORN it and take it off the road you're fine. As it stands, you can be fined. I believe your car can also be taken away, how likely that is in a week though I don't. For the sake of 1.5 tanks of fuel, I'd insure it. What happens if someone comes round and nicks it, or smashes it up?

    Tyres Compounds

Let's start at the start here. First off, compound or hard sidewalls have nothing to do with the juddering at full lock, that's down to the Ackermann Principle. It's perfectly normal and will happen with any tyre you put on. Nitrogen is fine to fill with mbut you need to remove ALL air first for it to be any good. Very few places can do this. I tried it for a while and I found it helped with the tyre keeping pressure over a longer period of time, but very little else. I only ever fill with normal air now. For good wear, look towards the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Pricey but the best non-track performance tyre available bar none right now. Otherwise it's the good ol' RE050A for good wear.
  3. I just looked this up, did you know that footballers have only won it five times? Moore, Gazza, Owen, Becks and Giggs. There's an equal number of cricketers and boxers (although Henry Cooper won it twice), cycling is now only one behind with four winners, F1 has six wins although only over four different people. Athletics wins by miles with a whopping seventeen winners!
  4. Didn't realise you were there matey! My car was right at the end of the grid on the left as you drove in, parked next to a gorgeous old XJ 4L.
  5. No personality needed, Davis and Mansell have won it
  6. I have his name, address and email. I've sent him emails asking for Zedley to be returned and I will pay for postage as per the first page of this thread that everyone agreed to. I've heard nowt from him. It's a 3 hour drive from me, but if anyone is local to the Stafford area and would like to pop in and grab Zedley for me that would be great.
  7. +1 for Tim
  8. I didn't do it the pro way
  9. Espuma Revolution and a really long wheel brush. You'll also want a Swissvax-style brush to do the tricky bits. Makes cleaning the wheels a breeze.
  10. http://www.therpf.com/f9/iron-man-colors-automotive-paint-match-120253/ Any good? Not sure how accurate you want to be.
  11. Rosso Corsa is a lovely car, but I don't have a Ferrari, so why try to imitate? Only teasing fella Last one for me, first one is too bright and the second looks a little flat.
  12. Not Rosso Corsa?
  13. AKA "The Proper Way".
  14. That's what I did when I transferred PCs, as long as it's the folder containing the actual media files you'll be fine.
  15. They're not selling because no-one is buying. Even the £3K they knocked off in the summer did nothing for sales. It's got nothing to do with the BRZ (even Subaru only expect to shift a few hundred a year atm), it's because no-one wants a £30K four seater with typical Jap interior that does such awful MPG and has a high CO2 output when you can get a BMW for the same price with the same performance. Plus the hatch is ugly. Such a shame though, but I can understand the business reasons behind it.
  16. I'd match the Kumhos.
  17. Flippin' hell that's the creepiest smiley I've ever seen!
  18. Well, that'll be me having nightmares tonight then.
  19. It's like I'm drawn to these threads or summat.
  20. If there's more than a couple of mm difference between a new tyre and an existing one then you really need to change both. Given the recent weather conditions and the forecast for the coming months, I'd definitely change a pair. The only time I wouldn't is if I'd only done sub-1K miles on them and got a puncture in one, then I'd only change the single one. What tyres do you have on now? If they're the RE050A then they're a great tyre and I'd stick with them, if they're RE040 then I'd consider something else dependant on budget.

  22. Hey, it's still up for sale if you're interested
  23. It's not really that bad yet, certainly nowhere near where I was at this time last year where I simply couldn't walk more than 10m at a time, it's more like a gentle niggle like I used to get on my really good days. Driving isn't a problem so far, and I have all my seats adjusted pretty much exactly as you mention in your post so I'm kinda already sorted on that front. It's really hard to describe, as it's not affecting me in any real way so far but it's just that knowledge that this is exactly how it started before. I'm not going to let it beat me though or get me down, I know there's solutions out there and all I have to do is find them
