  1. Another poll! Vote away folks! Am only kidding matey, I love you really bro
  2. YES!!! I've been saying this for years. Its like Phil Mitchell with a wig.  So very, very true! Nigella on the other hand... Utter filth, but so hawt. Susanna Reid too.
  3. You can spin the wheels in the wet happily in a straight line even with the TCS on, try nailing it out of a corner and see what happens.
  4. @Chris: Good body, but do you not think she has a man-face?
  5. Simon & co ftw Never seen her present anything, although I have heard of her. She's not that easy on the eye, so without Jake I can't see any reason to even consider the BBC for F1 coverage now (not that I did last year, either!).
  6. Very much sounds like the battery to me. With all due respect to your friends though, surely people are capable of figuring out pretty quickly if it's the battery that is dead, especially considering there's a voltage gauge on the car?
  7. He kept his cool a lot better than I would have, I think. I'd have probably run the bloke over, or driven like an utter maniac to get away from him. Neither would've been the correct thing to do.
  8. At what point did the mongs think "Ooh, it's getting a bit deep here, better turn back?" Shame they got out alive, morons.
  9. Clay and clean with vinegar or Coke.
  10. If the dealer has confirmed that the pressure is okay, then I wouldn't give it a second thought. Very rarely do cars have an oil pressure gauge, and for the most part they're useless as either you have oil pressure or you don't: It doesn't tend to drop off or give you enough warning to do anything about it. One minute fine, next minute engine kaput. As irritating as it may be that your gauge doesn't particularly seem to be working as you expect, I genuinely wouldn't spend anymore money on chasing it. It's not a massively accurate thing in the first place, and if you're that bothered about it then I'd swap it out for a decent aftermarket unit instead. That's not to say it wouldn't do my head in as well, as it really would, but sometimes you just need to call it a day
  11. The only Binis I can tolerate are the standard size ones. Anything after those is chav fashionista tat that deserves to be burned.
  12. Does sad smiley work? EDIT Yes it does, so that's cool. It's just the winky one then.
  13. Any chance we could change the  smiley code back to instead of the word 'wink' wrapped in semi-colons? Would make life an awful lot easier, especially for those on Apple devices who don't have access to the smiley list.
  14. Perhaps he was referring to any noise you make?   I know what you mean though, diesels are no longer the bargain they used to be. For small trips, a petrol engine is pretty much all you need and the smaller purchase price can often offset the higher MPG, especially when you take the cost of the fuel into account.
  15. Diesels are boring and make a horrible noise. The prosecution rests, m'lud.
  16. Sh*tty Link are a bunch of lying thunderc*nts. Any company that uses them no longer gets my business. They are an absolute shower of b*stards. Best service? Royal Mail. Never late, good access to depots, friendly and practical delivery staff.
  17. Buy the right GTR and you won't lose much on it, could sell after a year for minimal loss. Hop across into the 911 and do pretty much the same, then grab a 370Z for a bit by which point the BRZ should be at a much more reasonable price point. Job's a carrot
  18. I can honestly say I've never punched someone in the face just because they gave me a little scare.
  19. I finish Friday and go back on the 7th of Jan
  20. You could look at it as £64 being a rip off. However, that's very likely to be an admin charge of £30 which just leaves £34 as the cost for the mod which is entirely reasonable IMHO. Also, other specialist insurers can often be more expensive for a stock or very lightly modded car, and you may not be any better off changing at the end of the year. My current insurer (Sky) is more expensive than Admiral, however it's a more comprehensive policy. I think that paying the extra is worth it, as I can guarantee that with SW if you have an accident your exhaust isn't covered like-for-like and they'll replace with an OEM one again.
  21. Would it be worth pointing out that PayPal is actually a business, and does need to make money somewhere down the line? If you're meeting up with the guy then take cash. I know you said they won't take a bank transfer, but have you asked them why not? It makes life so much easier and the money is ther instantly. I cannot think of a single reason not to use a bank transfer, especially if you want to avoid PP fees.
  22. Nah, they're rubbish. Good spec too, PSE and the very rare full red rear light cluster option. Nice colour combo, too.
  23. If it's taxed, it must be insured. If you SORN it and take it off the road you're fine. As it stands, you can be fined. I believe your car can also be taken away, how likely that is in a week though I don't. For the sake of 1.5 tanks of fuel, I'd insure it. What happens if someone comes round and nicks it, or smashes it up?

    Tyres Compounds

Let's start at the start here. First off, compound or hard sidewalls have nothing to do with the juddering at full lock, that's down to the Ackermann Principle. It's perfectly normal and will happen with any tyre you put on. Nitrogen is fine to fill with mbut you need to remove ALL air first for it to be any good. Very few places can do this. I tried it for a while and I found it helped with the tyre keeping pressure over a longer period of time, but very little else. I only ever fill with normal air now. For good wear, look towards the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Pricey but the best non-track performance tyre available bar none right now. Otherwise it's the good ol' RE050A for good wear.
