  1. I don't believe the garage has the right to withhold your car from you. If you drive off, that's on you: They have no legal charge over the vehicle.
  2. Only if it's a dangerous fault, which means it's not roadworthy, which is exactly what I said Anything else and crack on and drive right on home.
  3. Not at all, all that will mean is that it's a bit thicker when it's cold. It'll be exactly the same when it's all warmed up, so zero benefit really.
  4. I want to try the 4S
  5. What? You could just drive your car home, as long as it's not unroadworthy i.e. bits hanging off and dropping oil everywhere. Doesn't even matter if the MOT has expired, you still have the legal right to drive your car to and from the MOT station.
  6. Yeah I think we're all a bit lost Bigger issue for most will be that a car now needs to be seriously modified into proper track/rally spec before being allowed to get away with removing airbags, non-sliding seats etc.
  7. Emissions haven’t changed though, they’re still the same.

    RE050 Ecopia.

Might be release agent, yes. TCS light flickering?
  9. It’s the non-OEM cats that strictly speaking would not pass, as they’re obviously modified from the manufacturer.
  10. Whatever gives access to the connections, I can't remember but I suspect you'd be better off just removing the wheel and working from there. Disconnect the battery first before removing the wheel if you're worried about it going off.
  11. http://thecartech.com/subjects/auto_eng2/Roll_Center.htm ...in case anyone else wanted to know what the heck one was! Can’t say I’ve ever heard of them being a common install on the Zeds, and whilst I can see their practical and theoretical usage, I’m not sure I’d use them at any point before I’d done absolutely everything else to the car.
  12. Even if someone else has had a good or bad experience, it doesn't mean yours will be the same. If ten people turn up and say they had claims denied, would that really stop you claiming yourself?
  13. I had to google what a speed density tune was, I'd never heard that term before! It's tuning via MAP rather than MAF, in case any one else is old school like me and would've said MAP rather than speed density
  14. Speak to either Mishimoto or your supplier directly. Go from there, see what they say, then we can advise more.
  15. Pull the wheel apart and check the connections are tight.

    Advice please

Only relates to emissions equipment (ie the cats) and the MOT, and it simply says that anything fitted by the manufacturer must not be missing, obviously modified or defective. Read it strictly and anything other than OEM cats are a clear fail, but common sense says that aftermarket replacements will be fine.
  17. No you don't I refer back to my previous comment of the cost to change being the key detail here, not the value of the part-ex or the price on the sticker in the window.
  18. BFTTE??? Edit: NVM I found it.
  19. I'm out then, I have zero idea of values of cars in the US at all. But Corvette is the answer.

    Audi TTS

Would be 09 yeah. Shame, I figured they'd be around £15K by now.
  21. USD or CAN? Or AUS?

If they're in budget then a 987.2 has zero of the main engine issues (D-chunk, oval bores, IMS failure etc). Plus better ICE as well!
  23. Fast, practical, four door, £35k? FRS, 140i etc.
  24. But look at it. Just look at it! Actually don't. It's hideous. You'll do a little vom in your mouth.
