  1. I'm out then, I have zero idea of values of cars in the US at all. But Corvette is the answer.

Would be 09 yeah. Shame, I figured they'd be around £15K by now.

If they're in budget then a 987.2 has zero of the main engine issues (D-chunk, oval bores, IMS failure etc). Plus better ICE as well!
  4. Fast, practical, four door, £35k? FRS, 140i etc.
  5. But look at it. Just look at it! Actually don't. It's hideous. You'll do a little vom in your mouth.

Yes, I've driven a TTS and a 370 (really not sure why you persist in thinking I haven't!). No, I've not driven an A45. And? I can still make a conjectured opinion, given the basis of what it is. I get it, you like it, that's cool. You can offer your opinion Colinny boy, and that's fine. That's the best thing about the internet, we can all share what we think Like I said, I'm sure it's a very quick car, but 4WD and flappy paddles in a glorified hatchback with a turbo four-pot don't set my pulses racing. The 718 is a great car, but I wouldn't buy one based on the noise alone because it was bloody awful when I drove one. Do I get bonus points for using the underline function too?!

Oh I love the drive, it’s just the noise that dreadful! The car itself is otherwise fantastic, only driven a boggo S though but man you really don’t need anything quicker on the road.

I'd quite like to drive the 2.0L Cayman tbh, I reckon it might be a sweeter motor than the 2.5L. Cayman on the moving plate is hysterical fun

If you say a diesel Cayenne I'm sacking you off as a friend forever

Not sure I'd consider the A45 any more exciting than the TTS tbh. Which I know will upset Colin, so YMMV etc Why doesn't she like RWD? If an FWD scrabble wagon terrifies her then I'm not sure you're going to do any better with anything that quick regardless of driven wheels: Our Scoob is 4WD and only 320bhp, but regardless of the 4WD it's still a proper handful if you're not on it. Any modern RWD car will come with TCS anyway, so that'll kick in if you do anything really stupid.
  11. I'd rather go slower and not be in a sh*tbox that f*cking ugly.
  12. Or do the pedal dance again, but read the flashing lights before clearing the code.
  13. Read the code, tell us what it is

It’s an everyday car. It won’t ever excite you, but it’ll do comfort and accessibility like perhaps no other for the money.
  15. It’s a halo car, designed to drive other car sales. They’ll have made a massive loss on each one if you look at it that way, but overall it may break even for the brand. I wonder how much the F1 debacle hurt them?
  16. I’d say that in terms of sales the new NSX may not be a flop, but in the minds of the public it definitely is. It’s been pretty much forgotten about already, which is a shame. The right tech perhaps, but the wrong design and definitely the wrong price point for ‘regular’ Honda fans to take seriously. But still better looking than the new CTR
  17. Neither of those gearboxes are robotised manuals: They're dual-clutch gearboxes. The SMG and F1 'boxes are robotised manuals.
  18. Well, they say it's better to be talked about than not talked about...
  19. Ugliest car produced in about 20 years. Hideous in every single way, and even though I buy ugly cars as long as they drive okay, even I wouldn't be seen dead in one of those. In ten years' time, people won't be able to give those things away.
  20. Take it back and make them do it properly, it’s not rocket science.
  21. YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN
  22. If indeed it is a leak, might just be a random noise that your particular setup is making.
  23. No idea tbh. It’s more common sense than anything else: I’m no aware of any specific Stillen or 350Z issues, but with no ability to soak up lateral movement then where else is the shock supposed to go other than the weakest point? But one step at a time, get the leak fixed first.
  24. Might not crack there, could well go somewhere else. With no flexi joint in the system there's nothing to take up the slack, so could crack anywhere from nice and easy at the backbox joint to PITA at the manifold. That's the reason why every OEM setup (and 95% of aftermarket ones) have flexi joints in them.
