  1. Exactly my thoughts these days, I want involvement at normal speeds not outright power.
  2. Tbh it took me a year of owning mine before I "got" how a 911 is supposed to be driven. Once I did though I was hooked, and it p*ssed all over my brother's Cayman R for me in terms of fun. They're not for everyone though, I'll give you that, and I imagine owning an older 964 would be a totally different and MUCH more challenging drive!
  3. So why not contact the team before placing the post, when you know it doesn’t meet the rules, to see if they’ll make an exception?
  4. Build a 964 to whatever spec you fancy for that kind of money. Would be fun on the road, challenging on track, and always an experience.
  5. Go read Ilogikal’s detailing thread. He’s covered this very recently.
  6. Binned it at Pouhon? What the bloody hell was he doing?! Who was the TDO? Always handy to know who the decent companies are out there. Worth pointing out for others that some TDOs do allow overtaking either side at the bigger tracks like Spa and Silverstone, or at least RMA do so do check the rules of the TDO before you get caught out. It’s one reason I won’t do an RMA day, as I’ve seen enough idiots on regular days who can’t cope with single side overtaking, much less want to risk sharing a track with people who actually need to make a choice
  7. Where no one will ever see them? Nah dude, just do a proper build thread in the right section on here, it’ll be good for others to follow your progress too
  8. Jeez dude, just do a single build thread and chuck everything in there, you’ve been responsible for half the new threads on the forum since you got another car!
  9. Be cheaper to get it repaired.
  10. Pretty poor etiquette all round really. Porsche driver obviously either a complete d*ck or just not very good (or doesn’t know the track), but why the Bmw and Nismo then proceed to follow him so closely I don’t know. The whole video is just begging for an accident. If someone is being that rude to not let you by, then why waste your entire lap sat behind him: Ease off, find some space, then crack on. But yeah, when on track ffs use your bloody mirrors!
  11. So the first one was utterly broken then
  12. There's a difference between an alignment to get it back into default Nissan understeer-o-matic settings, and a decent geo to actually make it drive better. Do the latter. Who is the garage? If they've performance or motorsport experience they'll probably be fine, if they're more generic then don't bother.
  13. When was the last time it had an alignment? Whilst not contributing directly to the suspension travel, you'd be amazed at how much better a car can feel once the alignment is correct. It would be worth your while taking it to somewhere that knows how to align cars properly and getting them to do something with it.
  14. Did you not notice the ride quality on the test drive? I’ve not driven a Nismo, but I can’t believe the ride is that uncomfortable.

I’m terrible for stuff like that, I can literally spend hours adjusting stuff to get it spot on level/straight, even if it’s only to my eyes.
  16. If it hasn’t happened since, I’d just ignore it and put it down to randomness. No point chasing a fault you can’t replicate imho, not when everything else looks correct.

I think Col is married, yeah.
  18. Camera phones have come a long way since those pics were taken thankfully! I agree though, that looks better. Must be the wheel design then.
  19. I’m not convinced, y’know. I mean, no doubt it’s a decent job and in close up the decals work well, but it just doesn’t seem to work in the wider shot. In fairness I think it’s the wheel design itself more than anything. Maybe silver callipers would work better to match the spoke tips, or just generic red to contrast and match the red accents on the Nismo exterior.
  20. Well then add some plastic sheeting to divert the water as a temporary solution, while you soak the car and trace the leak. Start by looking for dried out rubbers, and checking drain holes are clear.
  21. Cough up the £210 and get it sorted. Tbh that’s cheap for solving NATS issues, especially from a main dealer.
  22. Something is very wrong there then, tbh. Our Scoob only has 320bhp, but it’s always felt the quickest thing to drive by some margin including my old Bmw which was almost exactly the same pace as a 350. Most likely due to the power delivery from the turbo than outright power alone. An auto Evo (man, who on earth though that was ever a good idea?!) should be even more so. Either it’s broken, or you didn’t feel comfortable pushing it properly, or that SST gearbox wrecks the experience so much. From the sound of it, you’d be wasting your money with a supercharged Zed.
  23. AND WHAT, DON’T LEAVE US HANGING!!!!11
