Meh, the guy saved two huge companies from the scrap heap, let him have his extras on the side.

Guys, stop with the insults and petty bickering. It’s pathetic, and is the reason these threads get locked. You all all have good points, so use them to make your argument rather than sniping at each other please.

This. A million times this. If people cannot be bothered to look for the information, or (and this is quite likely from those that may or may not be of the kind that cannot be arsed to search for themselves) are simply too stupid to understand it, then what more can we do? We live in an age where anything and everything is available to us in terms of information, we cannot force people to read it.
-
I can say we voted because we did. There was enough information out there to make a reasoned choice, however I believe that most people did not bother to avail themselves of that (and that goes for both sides!). It was no different to every single General Election, where every time millions of people choose who to run the country based on nothing more than their parents hating a woman who hasn’t been in power in a generation, or because there was once a rough winter even further back when people went on strike a bit. It’s pathetic, and is exactly why the current political system doesn’t really work. People are idiots. What we really need is a benevolent dictatorship, not more votes.
-
There should be no extra vote. The people of this country have already proved once they’re not capable of making a reasoned decision, why give them a second go at doing the same? I voted Remain, but I’d vote Leave if we ran again tomorrow. Just on principle really, I believe that one referendum is enough and we’re not all Scottish and feel the need to keep asking the same question until we get an answer we like. Brexit was always going to be a short-term clusterf*ck. I do believe that regardless of result this country will be better off in maybe 20-30 years time, but in the immediate 10 years or so we’d be screwed. I still hold that view.

Depends on the kit and how it’s mapped. But it if you’re asking if a DE engine can handle 350bhp, the answer is yes. Just be aware you may struggle to insure NOS these days, as many insurers won’t touch it any more. Never mind getting hold of the stuff...!

Show cars are almost exclusively kept in the garage, and the ten or twelve days they’re outside per year won’t show damage in a year or so.

I think it would be very quick and easy to clean those wheels, tbh. I'd use this process: 1. Fill 2x buckets with warm water and mild detergent. 2. Get ready with 1x soft wheel brush, 1x detail brush and 1x soft microfibre. 3. Set up a hose with an adjustable spray nozzle, and set the aperture to approx 35deg exit angle. 4. Lightly mist the wheels with pure water. 5. Realise that you're now looking directly at them, that they're f***ing hideous, then quickly rip them off the damn car and chuck them in the bin. 6. Put some decent wheels on, and book Specsavers asap as clearly you need to if you bought those wheels in the first place.

Clearly don't heel n toe Please don't make assumptions when you have zero evidence to back it up. Again, I still say you've got it the wrong way round. I can heel n toe in anything, and will always endeavour to do so to save drive-train wear, and I know for a fact I can be a damn sight more relaxed about the process in a diesel Vauxhall Omega or Ford Ranger than I had to be in a VX220 or my track-prepped mk3 MR2. In the sharper cars you need to be more accurate and quicker about the process otherwise you'll lose the revs or overshoot them, whereas in something more barge-like you can take a bit more time. Heel n toeing isn't just for when you're driving 10/10ths, it's a skill that should be used all the time whenever possible to aid smooth driving.

Actually that's when it's easiest, as it's numbed down so that any body can make a decent attempt at it if they know the basic theory. A remap with a sharper throttle and a lightweight flywheel would make rev matching more difficult, so the opposite way round to what you've said
-
All sounds perfectly normal to me. Depending on what car you've come from, all of those 'symptoms' may well feel odd at first.

I like the Multipla

I think an ex said that to me once...
-
Well obvs! I am trying, though. Yeah yeah, very trying, before you say it!
-
So that’s where I’m going wrong then...
-
If they say keep it out of sunlight, then fair enough really. At least they’re honest and up front. Same as with some wheels, they’re really meant for show use only regardless of how good the perceived quality may be.
-
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should!
-
Depends on who has the biggest balls. There’s nothing really in it on paper I’d suggest given the weight difference, so it’ll be very much down to who wants to push the hardest. Remove your wheel spacers if you want to go quicker, as you’ve added weight in the absolute worst place
-
Yup, it can be overnight just like that. Even if it looks like it’s working, moving voltages and all, I’m still willing to bet that’s the issue here. Also when you do replace it, don’t get a cheap OEM-equivalent, just get the proper Nissan item. Cheap MAFs may look like they work, but they’ll just cause you other issues: been there, done that with the Impreza!
-
So MAF plugged in you get problems, MAF unplugged it runs fine albeit on the default map? 99% sure it’s the MAF then.
-
Get the exhaust and aircon done. They’re cheap to fix assuming it’s a spot of welding and a regas, and then you have no bad points at all.
-
Depends if you can park or not.
-
And four years later they’re still not out, tells you all you need to know.
-
More tripe from AE. How that rag is still going, I don’t know.
-
They’re all much of a muchness really, so the usual stuff like exhaust and hfcs applies with the caveats of avoiding eBay specials. You’ll always get the generic billionty horsepower claims of a CAI, take them with a pinch of salt.
