  1. Actually that's when it's easiest, as it's numbed down so that any body can make a decent attempt at it if they know the basic theory. A remap with a sharper throttle and a lightweight flywheel would make rev matching more difficult, so the opposite way round to what you've said
  2. All sounds perfectly normal to me. Depending on what car you've come from, all of those 'symptoms' may well feel odd at first.
  3. I think an ex said that to me once...
  4. Well obvs! I am trying, though. Yeah yeah, very trying, before you say it!
  5. So that’s where I’m going wrong then...
  6. If they say keep it out of sunlight, then fair enough really. At least they’re honest and up front. Same as with some wheels, they’re really meant for show use only regardless of how good the perceived quality may be.
  7. Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should!
  8. Depends on who has the biggest balls. There’s nothing really in it on paper I’d suggest given the weight difference, so it’ll be very much down to who wants to push the hardest. Remove your wheel spacers if you want to go quicker, as you’ve added weight in the absolute worst place
  9. Yup, it can be overnight just like that. Even if it looks like it’s working, moving voltages and all, I’m still willing to bet that’s the issue here. Also when you do replace it, don’t get a cheap OEM-equivalent, just get the proper Nissan item. Cheap MAFs may look like they work, but they’ll just cause you other issues: been there, done that with the Impreza!
  10. So MAF plugged in you get problems, MAF unplugged it runs fine albeit on the default map? 99% sure it’s the MAF then.
  11. Get the exhaust and aircon done. They’re cheap to fix assuming it’s a spot of welding and a regas, and then you have no bad points at all.
  12. Depends if you can park or not.

And four years later they’re still not out, tells you all you need to know.

More tripe from AE. How that rag is still going, I don’t know.
  15. They’re all much of a muchness really, so the usual stuff like exhaust and hfcs applies with the caveats of avoiding eBay specials. You’ll always get the generic billionty horsepower claims of a CAI, take them with a pinch of salt.
  16. They were? Maybe it’s the cynic in me, but I remember them being praised for the interior but criticised for the anodyne engine, dull exhaust note and not feeling as lively on the move as the 350. I mean, I’m sure they were more positive than that but I honestly don’t recall them being called an improvement over a 350. Anyone got any reviews from that time? Evo, or Car maybe?
  17. I’ve ordered loads from them as I keep drilling my plates in silly places and then can’t transfer them to the next car Great company to deal with imho.
  18. This is the internet, heaven forbid!
  19. Right now I’d rather take the R8 over the Huracan, at least until the godawful R8 facelift is actually seen on the roads. Why they ruined perfection I’ll never know. Toyota aren’t releasing prices. I’d be amazed if it’s cheaper than the Bmw equivalent, but happy to be proved wrong.
  20. Interesting, every other place I recall reading about it did slate the gearbox, Evo and Car included.
  21. The MX5 and 124 Abarth aren’t coupes though... Apologies if you address that later in the vid, I’ll admit I didn’t watch it all in one go
  22. Except the gearbox is still sh*t and it has those headlights
  23. @GranTurismoEra: And then what? A 4wd turbo four pot car? Nah, I’m good thanks. Unless they take the SLK (or whatever it’s called now), but even then that’s not exactly the ethos of a good Zed. Imho, obvs. I’ve no doubt the Supra will “sell out”, but I also don’t see why anyone really cares about it unless they want a Z4 with a tintop. It ain’t a Supra, and let’s be honest it’s not really even a Toyota.
