  1. This is why the public shouldn’t be trusted with referendums I strongly suspect we’ll see a last minute extension to A50 a week before the deadline. Just a gut feeling.
  2. Re test drives, just ring up and book one. They’ll take you seriously as long as you don’t turn up looking like a chav.
  3. You forgot the swathes of topless women taking up all those miles of golden beaches in Johnny-ForeignerLand too. Bloody hussies, can’t they keep their clothes on?!
  4. Drive a 911 first. You may not like them now, indeed I hated them for years because badge snob, but they’re utterly involving to drive and do the GT thing as well as the sports thing.
  5. Watchdog? Really? If you have a legal issue then go legal. If not, then get it corrected and get on with your life. Personally speaking it’s fairly obvious to most I suspect that Nissan have seen an easy mark and you’ve bought into this magic paint by magic paint pixies with both feet. Research, clarification etc could all have prevented this. Do you also believe that runflat tyres can be driven on forever and perfect normally if you get a puncture?

    Mazda 3 2019

Mazda are the only Japanese car company producing distinctive yet cohesive designs across their entire range right now. The Mazda6 is especially beautiful, but there's not a bad car in their range.
  7. That is an excellent example of what poor washing technique does to a black car, though. So the video isn’t a total waste.

I’d got about 15k from the MPSS rears on the Bmw before it went, including a solitary trackday at Snet, and they weren’t close to the 3mm I’d be changing them at. The MPS4 on the MX5 are at 7k miles with no track time and they’re still looking new.

    Tyre Query

Ultimately the tyres are the only thing keeping the car in contact with the road, which makes them arguably the most important bit of the entire car. Too many people p*ss money up the wall chasing 5bhp or a knowing glance from a complete stranger who acknowledges you spent a fortune on a carbon fibre dust cap, when actually it’s the stuff that makes proper contact with you and the tarmac that really counts. I don’t just mean the tyres, I’m talking about the seat and the steering wheel and the gearknob too, the things you interact with hundreds of times on every trip. Get that right and the car will be a proper experience you’ll enjoy, and the rest is just fripperies. Whinge over

And just to be the boring sensible one, given how the MPSS lasted and how my current MPS4 are lasting, it actually works out cheaper to buy the performance tyres as they wear much less than the cheaper ones. The extra grip/feel is just an added bonus

We know you ask a lot of questions, we’re not sure you take much on board though

In that case, why ask the question? If it's all you can afford then it's all you can afford, doesn't really matter if they're any good or not.

510s are for crappy 1.8 diesel Astras, not for sports cars.
  14. I’m okay with that too. And normally I’m picky as hell with spoilers on convertibles
  15. Some are better than others, but when most pubs are charging £5 a pint I’ll put up with a certain level of clientele for £2 a pint
  16. For £3K I suspect your choice of car is a bit limited Mileage is irrelevant, buy on condition.
  17. Is it not screwed on like most other cars? Pop the plate off and have a look.
  18. What, a remap just for the velocity stack? Definitely not worth it in the slightest.
  19. You think they've got the figures for the GT-R and 370 the wrong way round? I dunno, I’ve no idea how WLTP works so it could be possible, bearing in mind they’re comparing an auto with a manual.
  20. That’s like picking a punch in the face over a kick in the nuts.
  21. That looks amazing in the white with the tricolore striping!
  22. Weight of these is 10-12kg according to Tarmac in a post from a couple of years back. However as pointed out these are not going to be of the highest quality nor of the lowest weight: You can expect them to look good for a bit but then I'd expect the finish to come off and the extra weight to be noticeable. However they're a brand new set of 19" wheels for £500, which is pretty much an absolute bargain if you like the looks Not everyone can afford or wants to spend £1500 on a set of wheels, certainly I bought cheap-ass Japan Racing wheels for my old BMW and they did the job for me perfectly, as well as being lighter than the heavy OEM ones
