I had a VXR220 before my 350Z. Apart from the awful stereo and the freezing of the windscreen inside in the winter, it was a better car in every way than the 350Z. Doesn't mean I regret the change at all: Sometimes a car can be worse but better for you at that point in life.
My recent change has seen me go from 4.4L V8 with 333bhp to 2.0L I4 and 160bhp, but I'm still having fun: It's just different.
Must admit these days I will fit the cheapest discs I can, but the best pads I can afford. In my experience, it’s the pad that makes more of a difference and since good pads are normally quite abrasive anyway, I see little point in ruining expensive discs!
Again, you cannot take court action, you can only go via the Financial Ombudsman if you feel their offer is not good enough. Look at their website for more details: https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/motor-insurance.html
However, the pertinent bit is this:
I feel sorry for whoever bought my old car then, that roof was always down regardless of the weather!
Crap design though. 3c is cold, 10c isn’t even close to it.
You cannot take them to court. You can argue to the ombudsman, but at this point you’re not going to get significantly more.
If there’s BE cars out there for £14.5k, then a realistic offer could be £13k. So at £11.5k isn’t actually that bad a place to be.
Is it specifically insured as a BE? What extras did the BE come with anyway? It might actually not be worth any more than a regular 370.
Pretty sure he wasn’t doing 110mph on a tight twisty road though. If he was that’s dangerous and/or stupid, if it was on a dc or motorway then it was boring. Again, in the context of what he said, not being pedantic.
4C as a daily is a terrible idea.
They’re not, but speed alone is in the context of getting a ban. Unless that was a 1991 Micra, of course. And again, my point still stands as being perfectly true even if you try and twist the meaning.
Exactly. Which is why no one wants a cheap one that’s been scrimped on, so it may well cost you much more long term. £6k for OEM stuff sounds about right to me.
Don’t think that an R8 will be much cheaper on costs than a GTR, go and have a look at the price of discs, pads, clutches, suspension etc. Given they’re a Gallardo underneath, you can probably guess on how much bits like that might be...
This is why the public shouldn’t be trusted with referendums
I strongly suspect we’ll see a last minute extension to A50 a week before the deadline. Just a gut feeling.
You forgot the swathes of topless women taking up all those miles of golden beaches in Johnny-ForeignerLand too. Bloody hussies, can’t they keep their clothes on?!
Drive a 911 first. You may not like them now, indeed I hated them for years because badge snob, but they’re utterly involving to drive and do the GT thing as well as the sports thing.
