  1. Some Brexiteers just want out on principle, and damned the consequences. Tbh, I can understand that, at least more than those that feel everything will magically be better if we leave. Without wishing to start an argument with you G, it’s the same as those that voted in the IndyRef for going it alone just so the Scots were totally ok their own. As a point of principle, I respect that. Genuinely.
  2. Great post Stu, and I think sometimes it helps members to have the thoughts of the Team explained. So, Brexit then. Anyone else feel we’re almost certainly heading into GE territory, and the hung parliament that will no doubt follow?
  3. Could’ve posted that before I made myself look stupid
  4. Oh tell a lie, I missed when the ECoJ said we could revoke A50 whenever we wanted. My bad, ignore my post above.
  5. That’s surprising if they’re both recaro tbh. But yeah, drill your own and do it that way.
  6. Erm JP is right: Unless the EU agree to an extension, no deal exit will be happening. There’s no time left for anything else.
  7. Well, you could remove the equivalent weight from the front of the car. But no one does. Ever. Take it out and leave it out, if you’re desperate for the space. Just remember the RAC won’t cover you if you get a puncture and don’t have the spare with you though...
  8. Should be obvious when you show the rails to the base of the seat, but yes: The bar should always pull up to you.
  9. What a shame they didn’t mate the Bmw lump up to a manual ‘box, rather than go the generic and obvious swap route.
  10. WAAAAAAAAAANT But I would get them to put the full fat 1000bhp engine in, insta-death
  11. https://www.motor1.com/features/280320/best-selling-vehicles-us-list/ 426,168. That’s the amount of RAV4s sold in the US in the last year, the most popular selling car (I’ll ignore the trucks above it for fairness). You actually think the Model 3 will be able to push those kind of numbers? Theyre currentky making approx 5700 Model 3s per week. That makes annual manufactured cars (not sold) of just under 300,000. https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2018-tesla-tracker/ Even assuming that Tesla ramp up production, that’s still a fair bit off.
  12. Hang on, you swapped a V8 for a diesel? Man card in that box over there by the exit, please.
  13. As always, break it down to the minimum facts: There is a legal standard that all fuels have to meet to be classed as Super/Premium/97RON or higher. This is a pretty tough standard to meet, so you can guarantee that the fuel is of a certain quality. Every single 97RON+ fuel on sale in the UK today meets this standard as a minimum, and anything above that you're arguing tiny percentages of betterness. As long as whatever you put in your car meets the RON minimum for your vehicle, there's zero evidence to prove either way that one is better than another. If there was proper evidence, then Shell/BP/Esso would be screaming it from the rooftops. They're not. So there isn't. Just drive your damn cars and enjoy them
  14. I'm talking about more than just a couple of Jap car companies though, I'm talking about companies from many different fields. It's common sense and obvious they would leave to ensure they keep their business where they have many customers, even if they leave a small base of ops here in the UK. Of course some would leave it until now to say they're leaving, as really they don't want the cost of upping sticks and once again it comes down to the political game of putting pressure on MPs. If they can call their bluff then great, if not then well they need to go anyway.
  15. There's really no need, many people are now running that size in that tyre with zero issues, so I'm confident recommending it to every one now
  16. Don't know. No-one can answer that.
  17. 255/35/19 285/35/19 In MPS4S.
  18. Yes, it absolutely would. Maybe not all, as the sensible ones will have already started making plans a year ago, but it would certainly stop some jumping ship.
  19. They should vote to accept the deal.
  20. Thing is, having a Lotus badge looking back at you trumps any VX badge. There's just something more 'right' about it.
  21. Agreed, they are a little snug! Shame about the Elises though. Even the 111S?
  22. 987 usual concerns over bore scoring and IMS, but that you know. Get the sports seats but avoid the Bose. Z4 I really like, but you cannot see where the front end is at all from the driver seat. I found that disconcerting! S2K would be on my list too. Elise too, as Lotus ownership is very different from VX, and for the better imho. If you’re looking at the 987 then I’d look at a 996 cab too, may not be the looker of the family but it’s still an amazing car and you get the flat six wail too
  23. *pfffftttttsssshhhppptttt* Coffee, meet keyboard They can't even ship the bloody things to meet demand, so how can it remotely be close to the best selling car in the US this year?! Remind me of this post come Jan 1st 2020, and if it did happen I'll send you a box of Curly Wurlys.
