  1. I’d rather get people in who had a proven track record of success than people who get in based upon what colour tie they wear.
  2. I’d love to see Max and Lewis in the same car.
  3. This is why we should pay MPs more, at least double if not triple. We might actually attract some people with half a brain from the private sector that way, people who didn’t go through the Eton way.
  4. That's interesting Doc, and I tend to follow your opinion when it comes to politicians sticking with something they believe in even if it may be unpopular or career damaging. With that in mind how do you view Rees Mogg himself, in particular to do with his antiquated views on family life? Admiration for sticking with what he believes, or disgust that he cannot get with the modern times? Just to stick myself completely on the fence, I feel both ways about him
  5. I've said it before, but I still believe that the majority of people vote for whoever their parents vote for, which is usually based on historic events that have zero to do with anything now. The amount of time I hear miner's strike or winter of discontent mentioned when discussing modern politics is disturbing. No-one even bothers to check anything any more, they tend to sit comfortably in the Tory/Labour/Anyone Else Will Do And It'll Be A Protest Vote camps.
  6. If it’s rosso with crema, I’ll be disappointed
  7. Apart from Tesla cars, ofc. They’re infallible. /gangzoom
  8. Please tell me you don't think they're good. They're horrendous.

    Tyre Lettering

Nah. They can look good, but needs to be on the right car and tbh unless you like having the US spelling of tyre on the side of your car only the Toyo one looks vaguely decent. But then you need to be running Toyos They're a pain to fit, and they're more of a pain to remove, and they're an absolute bitch to keep clean. I wouldn't do it again.
  10. Nope, in 2012 (the final season before Lewis joined the team) they won 1 race, with 3 podiums and a single pole. That was the team he was moving to, so that's the base level for the judgement call he made.
  11. I mean, don't get me wrong I'd like to see some of the younger drivers given a go in the big cars to open up the competition a bit more, but it's not like it doesn't happen with LeClerc and Verstappen recent successes. Kubica and Kimi shouldn't be anywhere near an F1 car right now.
  12. You mean when he took the gamble in moving to a distinctly average Mercedes team to replace Schumacher, a team that had won just one race all season? Sure it paid off in a big way, but that was not a good team at the time.
  13. I still follow it, although not watch it live as I don't have Sky. Tbh it's not that interesting to me unless Lewis is winning/doing well, which probably says as much about me as it does the current state of the sport. It's funny watching Ferrari implode though!

Good job you've got plenty of points to spare!

Calling your car lavender colour does your man points no favour at all mate

    Wrap !

In all seriousness as long as the wrap is removed carefully with a bit heat then I'm sure it would be fine, but I've seen 350Z paint come straight off after just removing a small piece of vinyl put on for a Le Mans trip (my own car) so I'd be very wary of ever removing it. Certainly I never intended the BMW one to ever come off.

    You hope...

    Wrap !

Can probably get a mate to do it with crepe paper for £50, but if you want a proper job... My old BMW 6er was just shy of £3K, but the quality was immaculate and the wrap was flawless despite living outside and having a particularly bluff front end. Some wraps I've seen have been peeling in 6 months, which I would never be happy with.

    Wrap !

Depends on where you go and what quality of wrap you want plus how far you want the wrap to go, but you should be looking at around £2K-£3K as a guideline.
  20. Showing his age what? One for you @ATTAK Z

    370Z Nismo

But why would you choose to drive something ugly just to be different? You wouldn't walk around in a clown suit just because no-one else is wearing one...
  22. Not if you don't bother. I certainly didn't after I had my car wrapped.
  23. My AVR is a bit dated now too and wants an upgrade, but my Kefs are known for being a tad trebly in nature so I’m being very picky before I splurge out. The VSX920 (told you it was dated!) took me about 4-5 hours of testing in various shops before I was comfortable it was a good match, and that was before I got old and got really fussy...!
  24. In terms of what can make a massive difference for not much outlay, I found that standing my Kef iQ90s and Kube2 sub on solid marble bases (inch thick) made the biggest improvement to sound and clarity, as they stop any vibrations being lost via the flooring. What speakers are you running btw? And are any of them bi-wired? There's a subtle but marked difference in sound quality if you can do that (my fronts are bi-wired). As a more general idea for others, unless you have plenty of Atmos-soundtracked sources then it may not be worth the outlay going for any kind of Atmos setup, and certainly ceiling mounted is preferable to upfiring if you possibly can.
