  1. Brembos are fine, but I’d change the pads, discs and fluid for sure. Falkens aren’t really what I’d class as performance tyres but if they’re that new you could sell them to offset the cost of new tyres. Bearing in mind they’re the only thing actually touching the ground, it’s worthwhile putting the best on there that you can imho. You’ll definitely want to put your money into brakes and tyres if you’re doing track days, although if you’re doing drift days too then maybe keep the Falkens to use as sacrificial ones on those days?
  2. First make it stop, then make it handle, then make it go. Old, but true. Go and sort your brakes and tyres first, then change the suspension and ARBs, then worry about power. A well driven NA Zed with the first two parts done will be quicker and more fun than one with just a blower strapped to it.
  3. Unless you live where there’s plenty of snow, you don’t need all season tyres. MPS4 will do you fine, bearing in mind the risk you take running mixed tyres (see the Sticky at the top of the tyre forum).
  4. They’re gimmicky, and give you less control over the actual input. I had one, loved it for a couple of weeks, then realised it was losing me control of the car on the sharper modes when coming back on the power mid corner. I binned it. It’ll make no difference to a 0-60 whatsoever that I can see.
  5. I’m not stopping you, I’m encouraging you
  6. Or you could buy a cheaper car to insure, if you can’t quite stretch to the insurance on a 350Z. Plenty of fun stuff out there that’s more affordable insurance wise
  7. Bruce Willis has got awful teeth in that photo.

    400 Zed

So you actually think there will be a new Zed with a nice NA engine?
  9. Another vote for Demon Thieves. Even if you don’t buy from there, they’ve plenty of stuff to try on and test. And don't even consider chinless if you’re even remotely thinking about motorsport. When it comes to the helmet, try and ignore budget (up to a point!) and get something that you find comfortable and snug. I wanted a full carbon Arai but it wasn’t comfortable, so I ended up with a £300 Sparco instead so it works both ways.

    400 Zed

That would actually be much more interesting than a dull 2L turbo generic-o-coupe that’ll well prob end up with... I actually saw that exact car parked up once in Tesco car park in Gt Notley, which was random. Looked immense.

    400 Zed

Just another sh*t image knocked up by a bored art student, nothing more. These things are absolutely pointless.
  12. I hate it, but I still have respect for Payco for not giving a toss and doing what the hell he wants to it.
  13. Welcome to the world of the snowflake. Heaven forbid a car should actually handle properly!

    400 Zed

    Fake. Not going to happen.
  15. Zero issues on safari on iOS.

    Tyre noise

The MPSS were never the quietest tyre, and certainly the MPS4 and MPS4S are a vast improvement on them. AD08R are still noisier though in my experience.
  17. You get what you pay for. If you just want the wheels pointing straight then go to quikfit, if you want a proper setup then go to somewhere that’s knows what they’re talking about.
  18. We’ve already justified their profit on here, you just choose to ignore it. Question then, how much markup do you think they should have?
  19. No, they’re selling it to everyone. If you think it’s too expensive you don’t buy it, and if you think their offer is too low you don’t sell. I hate to say it, but they’re obviously doing something right.
  20. I don't think you understand how car sales work tbh. Everyone above you has explained just why there needs to be a markup on cars, but it doesn't seem to be getting through. Don't forget people will haggle on price as well, so that £2,5K could suddenly become £1.5K, which then you need to take running costs out of and then what if it breaks and you need to fix it under warranty... Very quickly that money can turn into a loss if you've been unlucky. If car sales was that easy to make a fortune on, then everyone would be doing it.
  21. You want unwarranted aggression when driving a car? Trying owning a Porsche or a bright orange Bmw Only ever had positive comments and actions towards me when I owned my 350. The MX5 just looks a bit meh so I fly under the radar with that one!
  22. SOGA hasn’t existed since 2015, so that’s all nonsense. It’s the Consumer Rights Act now. Honestly, it’s time to move on and get it sorted at your own expense I’m afraid. Expensive lesson to learn, but you’ll never leave bits sitting around for over a year again
