  1. Corbyn was always a gamble as a leader, he’s as polarising as Boris but one gamble has worked and the other hasn’t. At least now we can get out of the EU then sort out the mess afterwards, then look to build after that.
  2. Hang on, that says that the vast majority was for the whole building hospitals thing, which can’t be delivered in the next parliamentary session. Fine, I don’t disagree with that, however neither can FTTP to every home that Labour have promised, no? Or did they just not mention that in any advert, so that doesn’t count in that little fact check? Genuine question.
  3. They really don’t care, they just want to get paid and every PCP contract has a settlement figure in anyway.

Surely you’d put MPS4S on the Stang?

I’ve nearly killed off my first set of rears after 20k miles, still love them.
  6. I think people care about it a lot less than they used to. As long as they pay the finance company direct and the finance company confirm with you it’s paid off, then there’s no risk to either party.
  7. Without teaching you to suck eggs mate, Parliamentary Sovereignty means that no government can pass a law that another can’t undo. That means whatever the next government do, the following one can change.
  8. Sold my 911 for more than that with outstanding finance on, no issues at all. Bloke came to me, we went to the bank together and he CHAP’d VWFS, we went back to mine and waited for 6 hours until they confirmed they’d received it. He then paid me the rest into my bank, then took the car. Easy.
  9. I guess it’s perspective. For me, austerity was desperately needed at the time and whilst I know it’s been hard for many, it was a necessary evil. I saw my own industry (prison service for those that don’t know) stripped to literally dangerous staffing levels, but I could still see the bigger picture. If that affected you personally then you’ll have a different viewpoint to mine, I know. If you had family queuing up at food banks then you’ll despise the government, and I can totally see why. Without Brexit I may well be considering a different vote tbh, but as it’s still here I know who I feel is best placed to get us out ASAP.
  10. I would argue that he’s unelectable on the basis he’s up against the most polarising Tory leader for many years who has a history that’s dark and twisted, who has been caught in court trying to force his own version democracy of democracy on the people, and who was hardly the most popular of mayors when in charge of London, who is in charge of a party that has cut and cut and cut, and yet Corbyn’s party STILL lags behind in the polls by some margin. That makes no sense if you look at it logically. If you can’t be ahead by miles in the face of that, you’ve got real issues with public perception. See also, Hilary Clinton.
  11. But that works both ways, for any government. Let’s not forget parliamentary sovereignty will always apply too. Besides which, something like that would take aaaaaaaaaages to do, so that’s another pledge to add to the list of ‘sh*t that won’t get done because Brexit is happening’.
  12. Royals may be a formality these days, but the fact they’re still involved at all needs changing. I don’t see anything wrong with looking at how the intricacies of court/monarchy/parliament is currently and looking for changes for clarity going forward. How can that be a bad thing?
  13. See, I read that part of the Conservative manifesto as saying that there does need to be a review for the sake of not dragging stuff through the courts, as parliament and government should have more defined limits on what they can and cannot do. Technically what Boris did was right, but a court judged it differently which then put the queen in a sticky situation as ultimately she said it was okay, even though that’s not really a thing as the monarchy don’t get involved in that level any more. A clear definition would mean that there’s no more fudging or opposition parties voting against stuff or dragging decisions through the courts just to make a point, whether they’re right or wrong. We’ve had a lot of tricky state vs government vs court questions with the whole Brexit thing, questions that no one ever thought would need to be asked. Makes sense to clear them all up for the future, whatever that means.
  14. Ever read Bernie’s autobiography? Fascinating read, it gives you a whole new appreciation for the man and what he did for F1.
  15. Le Mans is like 75% Dutch turnout every year too, or at least it feels like it!
  16. As before though, this election is really about Brexit, nothing else. Don’t kid yourselves that anything else will change at all in the next 5 years otherwise, regardless of who wins.
  17. Nope, because it’s made zero difference to me or anyone else and someone has made a few quid out of it. Win/win really. If I don’t notice a change, then I really don’t care either way. Same with if stuff gets nationalised really, if it happens and everything stays the same then meh. It’s just that history tends to show that doesn’t work, hence my reluctance to endorse it.
  18. Didn’t even know it had been sold tbh!
  19. Fair point. Circular argument, I guess.
  20. Is there anything wrong with our blood supplier then? I hadn’t heard anything.

I hate the eagle F1s, so may not be best placed to comment for a change wet feeling on them is atrocious.

So did you buy the 4, or the 4S?
  23. Because it’s not electable. In the eyes of the public, rightly or wrongly, the NHS is seen as untouchable. Any government that sold it out completely to US pharma would be unelectable for years. The public moan that the NHS is sh*t, but they just want more and more money pumped into it without actually sorting out why it doesn’t work for many people sadly.
