  1. Hey, I was hoping that it would be cheap given that the Z34 has been around for years and it costs them nothing to design that
  2. Cayman and A110, both significantly better to drive and also more interesting to look at, if that’s your main thing. Cayman available as a manual as well, Alpine a complete one-off that you’ll very rarely come across (I’ve still not seen one in the flesh round here!).
  3. The legendary Supra only sold 3600 models last year, so what will this sell? Half that at best? And how is making a car with retro styling going to attract younger buyers? I really hope Nissan didn’t spend £250M on this, as that’s way too much going on some crap maths by me. Assuming £35k selling cost (hey I’ll be optimistic!), 2000 cars a year over four years gives £280M income. Now assume each car costs £10k to build (incl labour and sell through costs etc) and you can see why I’m worried. This will need to be a £40k plus car minimum, prob nearer £45k, and then you’d be bonkers to buy one over the rivals. Just like how you’d be bonkers to buy a Supra over the rivals too.
  4. I’ll never be a fan of those cars, but even I cannot fault the execution. Bravo sir.
  5. Over a year from launch still? Honest, I’m still having my doubts we’ll see this, that’s a long time in motoring and if it is just a rebodied 370Z then it’s not going to set the world on fire either. Genuine question, but is there even a proper market for this car? Thinking of the competition and how poorly (in comparison) the 370 sold. Nissan could still pull the plug if reception is poor and just claim it was another concept.
  6. Personally I’m a huge fan of the Performance Friction pads, they used to be called 01 on the front and Z-Rated on the rear but I believe they’ve changed the names in the last few years. Amazing on both fast road and heavy track use, but obviously not the cheapest. Out of the ones you’ve mentioned I’d go DS2500. The Yellowstuff are very good, but only on low weight cars in my experience for track stuff. I’ve never tried the Hawks.
  7. You’re also 67 with a bad hip. That’s the demographic for Civic Estate drivers, right?
  8. C-Class would be a good shout too, epically comfortable seats in those. A Class too, but almost certainly more expensive to buy than the C. Wouldn’t even look at a Swift for long drives. Civic maybe, but I’d rather get RWD so that way you at least have the option of a fun drive should you find yourself in that position at any point.
  9. Let’s not mess around here: that is bloody awesome.
  10. Bit slow mate, must make overtaking a pain
  11. I’ve been with them before too, excellent customer service.
  12. Yup, absolutely fine.
  13. Pound for pound, the MX5 is most fun car I’ve ever driven. Definitely doesn’t need any more than the 160bhp it came from the factory with, and is plenty quick enough for fun on UK roads. Power isn’t everything. Weight is far more important imho.
  14. Let me put it into context for you, dear. Having tried 4x sets of Eagle F1 on 3x different cars, and 5x sets of MPS2/MPSS on 4x different cars, along with knowing the owners of the cars throughout that time along with their driving style compared with mine, every single time the Michelin lasted longer in a rough comparison than the Goodyears. Does that make the new tyres automatically longer lasting? Of course not. I’ve never said it did. What I’m using is previous historical first hand evidence to produce a reasonable hypothesis, it’s totally up to others to produce a scientific study if they do choose. For absolute clarity, as I’ve said to you many times, I’m sure the new Goodyears are excellent tyres and I’d love to try them. Have you tried them yet? Or the MPS4/MPS4S?
  15. Going on previous history of both brands premium sets, in the interest of fairness.
  16. Then you go up in width to account for that, remembering that profile is a percentage of width not an outright number on its own I’ve not tried the Goodyears, however I do tend to agree that any extra cost for the Michelins will be more than offset by how much longer they last. I’ve got 24000 miles out of a fronts of the MPS4 and I had 20000 out of the rears, which is even better than the old MPSS. Absolutely crazy wear rates from tyres that are soooo grippy.
  17. Legal threats are always a good way to get people on your side believing you to be good guys
  18. I hereby give this post my official Seal Of Approval And yes, you’ll notice a massive difference.
  19. Nah you’re thinking of TikTok mate
  20. Doesn’t sound wrong then, more like it’s straight but following the camber on the road. One of those things you may have to live with, my old Zed drove me nuts with that until I figured out what it was!
  21. Is it actually pulling, or just following the camber in the road? Try driving on the other side of the road (where safe) and see if it goes away.
