  1. E92 M3, you can get a very good manual one for that and they’re only going one way in value. Plus V8!
  2. Well I wouldn’t get a diesel if it’s replacing a fun car, for a start. Tbh I’m not sure I’d look past a BMW either, plenty of choice there. Without judging, ignore the 4wd thing as if you’re driving that hard to get the back out with a kid in the car, you’re driving way too fast. Audis are nicer places to be and I prefer the styling, but they don’t drive anywhere near as well. Personally I would consider splitting the budget, £10k on a boring family car (520d F11 is my current one) and then £17k on something fun, that way you get the best of both worlds? Considered a 6er? Big car but very plush and they can be hustled, cheap too now the 8er is out.
  3. Maybe that’s why the Germans make a fortune but Nissan struggle. Options have always been a big part of buying a German car, whereas most Jap buyers want to buy non-OEM bits. Just the culture I guess.
  4. About $600 according to one advert from the states a quick google turned up.
  5. You may well need inserts, cheap and easy to fit though.
  6. Ironically I went from an MR2 to the VXR220! def the right call there, as good as an MR2 is it’s inferior in every way to an S1.
  7. I went from a VXR220 to a 350Z, very different cars but that’s a good thing as you don’t spend an age contrasting them and wondering if you made a mistake. Good luck in your search, def HR and not silver is the way to go
  8. Because I’d like to think the intelligence level of the forum is somewhat higher than that of a parsnip?
  9. I’m less amazed about a buckled wheel and more amazed people still use flickr! Any wheel will do that if you whack it hard enough, replica or not.
  10. They do it because it’s dirt cheap, not because it actually works long term. Awful idea, but it won’t stop.

    V55/5 Forum

DVLA are back to normal in terms of speed, I’ve done driving licences and V5 updates myself very recently with no delays at all. Which I know doesn’t actually answer your question at all
  12. Ain’t no such thing between us, sugar
  13. Don’t lie, of course you do, that’s why you asked for pics. Again.
  14. Might try some on my mohair jumpers
  15. They’re not, the rules are very clear that it must be black lettering on a white background on the front. Edit: https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/rules-number-plates
  16. Slowest of the day compared to a hairdresser’s car and a fwd scrabble wagon?! Hand your man card in, sir!
  17. He’s saying (I think) that you’re saying that people don’t break laws because they’re expected to obey them, but that assumes a level of responsibility that we’re clearly not seeing. Essentially you’re expecting people to act like adults, which is what you’ve criticised the government for doing.
  18. Okay, but what about the exceptions I mentioned, kids, medically unable, pubs etc? What do you do about masks then? Also I can smoke when I go outside or into other peoples’ houses, so it’s not quite as straightforward as you put it, albeit I concede it’s a valid point. The whole point about social distancing for 2m is that it essentially negates the need for masks, so if we can do that then can we take masks off?
  19. So what about those who cannot medically wear a mask? And children in school? And how do you police the 2m rule? Punishment for non-compliance? What about restaurants and pubs, and the wearing of masks?
  20. Soz bud, that was meant for Maggz not you.
  21. So what would you suggest happens right now? You’re in charge, anything goes but you have to have balance and think long term as well.
  22. I don’t believe you’d actually want stricter controls to that degree. Surely allowing people to make their own decisions (within reason) and having sensible punishments for non-compliance is better than stopping the whole country again? Or would you be in favour of more and harsher lock downs again? Genuine question, not trying to pick a fight here.
  23. I meant it did us a favour in getting us rapidly used to the idea of a weaker economy, something which I believe Brexit will lead to. Nothing more than that. It was a response to your question about how Covid has affected Brexit.
  24. I didn’t forget anything. You’re right though, people were still joking around, and that’s been the bigger problem than anything else. We as a nation made everything worse because we didn’t take it seriously or understand the implications. Just like Brexit.
  25. To a point, it has to unfortunately. That’s a sad but very true fact of modern life, whether that’s right or wrong.
