  1. Oh you just mean the option of changing gear by pushing the stick as well as paddles. Waste of time tbh, no one actually uses that when you have paddles as it doesn’t add anything to the experience. Think I tried it twice on my old car, then realised I was missing the point somewhat
  2. With a GPF it’s never going to sound as good even as the 370 I suspect, but hey we all love an aftermarket exhaust anyway! When you say “paddle shift and tiptronic”, what do you mean? I’ve always considered them the same thing, a manual way of changing gear via the steering wheel. It’ll be paddles not buttons regardless. I just hope the manual outsells turns auto by a hefty margin.
  3. As long as it’s switchable, then that’s a perfect combo
  4. I ran those on my old Ranger too, decent capability and great for sliding
  5. Agreed, massively prefer the classic black dials but white seems to be the standard. I looked at swapping the ones in my old car but it was very cost-prohibitive at the time.
  6. Cripes, that centre display is fugly! Make it sit flush not stick out like a tacky add on ffs. Digital dash is a good shout, would hope to see that in there. Then again, if they’re going retro then maybe stick with regular dials?
  7. Because Nissan decided to mention PS as well as HP when advertising the damn things in the first place.
  8. The front looks like a cross between a 370, a Panamera and a 1er. I don’t hate it, but neither does it stick out as memorable.

    car cover

Tree sap is the worst I’d get a ceramic coating on there ASAP, will make washing it off a breeze if nothing else otherwise you’ll have to wash the car every single time you want to put the cover on, and that’s no fun.

    car cover

So do most cars keep it clean and protected with a good sealant and that’s all you need, putting a car cover over a dirty car will scratch it to hell.
  11. I don’t like the retro rear lights at all. I think they look out of place.
  12. Well consider me told, I never knew they were so divisive!
  13. But then it’s just a prototype, so a test on what the public like before they release the watered-down version. You’d hope the final version is more cohesive. Who didn’t like the boomerang lights on the 370? They’re perfect.
  14. Which is hardly a looker either, but at least it’s consistently square to be balanced. This isn’t, at all.
  15. But why is the rear so square?? Looks awful, like a bad veilside design.
  16. That rear quarter from that angle is positively gopping. Front looks good but very F type.
  17. 100% agreed, I can’t see it being that cheap at all.
  18. That looks lovely. I assume the interior pic is what you’re aiming for with the tablet?
  19. Adjusting for inflation from when the 370 came out, a price around £45k would be about right. Cayman S is £55k before options, and given the price differences in 2009 between the two I reckon that sounds about right. That said, a 370Z Nismo is just over £40k new now so maybe that’s what they’ll be aiming at. That puts it smack in the super high 5 year tax bracket though, which may not be the right way to go. But who knows, after all it’s looking likely to be a 370 with a different engine underneath so given how cheap it’s been to create they may allow them to be flexible with the cost. £39,995 would be ideal.
  20. And McLaren show you can do both with their cars. Their ride is impeccable, albeit expensive.
  21. 20 years old. The FM platform is 20 years old.
