  1. CCTV was aiming the wrong way, and zero witnesses as it's not a popular station. One of those things, I'm not really that bothered any more, I shall make a more positive use of my energy rather than waste is on a blind lorry driver
  2. Basically it's this, or a 458 Speciale. As much as I love the 458, even I might take the 675 over that. Although not in silver
  3. Glad you're okay matey, that's the main thing. As a minimum you should always get the driver name and the car reg. Any photos? Did they get your details? Best (and correct) thing to do is to ring your insurer and give them the details, let them deal with it. Depending on the damage they've got, which you may not be able to see fully, it's very likely it'll cost you far less in the long run to go via insurance, plus if they start claiming whiplash then you're covered. You know I've just been there with a crash, honest mate it's really just easier to let them handle it even if you don't claim for your own repairs.
  4. Basically they're claiming 50/50, pretty much as I expected them too. Leaves me with little choice but to repair out of my own pocket.
  5. Car is now at the garage awaiting repairs, looks like it's coming out of my pocket. Sucks. Anyways though, onwards and upwards! I've been out today to GSM Motorsport near Nottingham to test out about 60 odd seats with the other half, to find something we can both fit comfortably into. Fortunately it seems that my preferred choice actually works for both of us, so as soon as I have a date on the car coming back I'm going to be ordering a pair of Recaro Pole Positions with leather outer and suede inner for the car. Comfy times! I've also started making tentative enquiries into the V10 swap. It's either going to be an absolute PITA (which means the SC route will be easier) or incredibly straight forward (which means it could be a serious goer).
  6. Maybe more a question for Abbey, but how does the Ecutek differ? What extra options does it give? I'm guessing at valve overlap and things like that, just interested really.
  7. You did read the bit about it being just my opinion, right? Or did your desire to try and be humerous mean that your eyes scanned over that crucial post? Honestly, if you're going to pick a fight then at least make sure you bring all the info to the table. Or at least actually be funny.
  8. Don't forget it's at Silverstone this weekend, best racing in the world to be found at WEC races
  9. Chill guys, every year Japfest make a pigs ear of things, but it all gets sorted in the end.
  10. Pretty sure a set of wheels from Fred Flintsotone's car are lighter than the Touring wheels
  11. Yeah, I'm not spunking out for one of those either.
  12. Don't do it. Silly prices, and this is gen1 of the tech with zero killer apps. And that comes from someone who is desperate for a new gadget! Even I can't justify that kind of cost.
  13. You're adding weight to the worst possible place, so there will be *some* negativity. There will be resistance to turn, slower acceleration and longer braking distances. That said, the differences are negligible to most. Some will notice it and hate it, some accept it because the car looks better, most don't notice that much if at all. I run spacers on my car, however when I changed wheels I made sure they were lighter so that even with the spacers I've lost weight on each corner. If you're not changing wheels then expect the car to feel a bit different, but tbh a sharper geo can sort that out.
  14. There's basically two types of roof: Plastic and fibre. They may vary in name and exact feel, but that's much of a muchness IMHO.
  15. I would personally stay with PVC/vinyl. Mohair is a nicer and arguably classier finish, but in terms of keeping it clean and tidy then vinyl wins hands down. Don't think I'd pay £300 extra for the mohair at any rate.
  16. Depends on what cats you run as well, if you're going decat then a non-res exhaust IS GOING TO BE QUITE LOUD INDEED, but if you're sticking with cats (and I would) then the non-res is the one to go for with a bit of extra tone. Cobra or Scorpion would be my choices at that price level.
  17. Costco is amazing. I don't think I've ever come out of there having spent less than £300.
  18. Set phasers to "holy sh!t why the frap didn't you buy the xenomorph!?" It's on my to do list. I'll mount my M41A above it in my Alien themed room complete with hatched egg in the corner and flashing yellow strobe lighting and Aliens style grating on the floor and... I know, I hate myself for it Basically I was still living at home and so it would've had to go in my bedroom which wasn't that big in the first place, plus at the time it would've been the equivalent of 6 months wages which was a bit excessive! Still, should've got it, you're right.
