  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36273448 Mark Carney says a Brexit may spark a recession. A man worth listening to, considering his position.
  2. Well, I guess I'd call a similar drop to what happened post-vote announcement a plummet.
  3. Sprint is ace if you can fit, it's what I run in my cars. Despite being steel tube framed, it's actually lighter than a lot of other more expensive seats
  4. @JP: Go down, really. I've no idea by how much as I don't follow the currency market that well, but let's assume it's more than just 0.1% or something daft. Tell you what, let's ask Lexx to decide, as Admin here I'd be happy with him to be impartial if that works for you? And my £10 to charity please, the Club's got enough money in the bank
  5. Hang on, they can't both be on rails if the passenger one doesn't move! The reason the driver one is higher is because it's on slidey rails, and the pax one isn't. Easily sorted, just buy some for the pax side too.
  6. I'll have £10 with you JP on the pound dropping if we vote to leave. It went down as soon as the poll was announced and early surveys said we'd vote leave, so I reckon my money is safe there. We'll never, ever lose Sterling if we stay in. Ever. It would be suicide for any government to ever contemplate that. You'd see the Yanks ditch the dollar first, and that ain't likely either.
  7. A lot of people are, and I think that's a shame. That said, I genuinely don't think there'll much difference if we're in or out. We'll still have to abide by EU regs, we'll still need mass immigration to fill the crappy jobs, and we'll still have to argue the toss over money stuff. I do think we'll suffer economically in the short term, and I think it's a shame that my future kids won't just be able to pop over to Europe and grab a job during their gap year, but ultimately it'll just be more of the same. I'd rather be trying to influence from the inside than the outside though, and I think that's where we'll suffer the most.
  8. Makes me feel a lot better about my wheels! I'm just glad the OP is happy with the car. All of it.
  9. You'll never get let out of a junction again, believe me True friends will be glad you're happy, and desperate for a ride out I suspect.
  10. Don't think so, they look like they've got plain f/g backs and the Sprints are covered all over. They look wider at the shoulder than the Sprints to me. Now watch them turn out to be Sprints...
  11. Gallardos can be a pain to live with, never mind the eye-watering servicing costs. Anyways, what a boring looking car. Engine in the wrong place, looks like a Beetle, common as muck, all the same, driven by bankers. Think that pretty much covers it mate, you should only get positive comments now
  12. I just love the gaping mouth. It's like the automotive Wide Mouthed Frog. Bonus points if you remember the advert
  13. No such thing! I travelled up from deepest darkest Essex to go to one of these, you can't be more than that away. Guys, if you have any vague interest in detailing at all then you MUST go to this. It'll give you a great understanding of what you can achieve both by hand and with a DA, and the guys there are happy to answer even the most daft of questions.
  14. Have you got them both on sliding rails?
  15. TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO TECHNO DUN DUN DER DER DER DER DUN DUN DER DER DER DER DUN DUN etc
  16. Techno? Is it the early '90s again?
  17. Why does everyone think they're slow? They're really not. They're not 650S, but they're mighty once they're on the move.
  18. I only started listening to R2 because of CE, and he's pretty much the main reason why I'm actually looking forward to TG for the first time in ten years. I'm hoping the fact they can't pinch stuff from old TG will mean that JC & co will be able to produce something new and fresh.
  19. Trump has the right idea, just build a wall.
  20. That's the best thing about the SC 2ZZ, you can make excellent progress even if you don't fancy keeping it in lift all the time. I drove the Exige 240 shortly before I changed the 350Z, lovely car to drive but wasn't really right for me at the time.
  21. Stupid name. Let's see what comes of it though, can't judge the quality of a show from the name alone.
  22. DE time for you sir. Buy on condition, not on mileage. A 10K 10 year old car is never the bargain you think, a 70k one is far less likely to give you problems. These cars have now hit the point where mileage isn't the driving factor into whether they're a good buy or not.
  23. We pick a side and run with it, the liberals get angry and say it's an illegal war. We don't pick a side and try and stay neutral, the war mongers demand we do something. No government can win any more. The hysteria over Iraq/Afghanistan has put paid to any government actually doing the sensible, obvious and right thing any more.
  24. Hey, I used my VXR220 in the snow remember! I meant the others, who aren't as hardcore as we clearly are.
