  1. Qualifying is fine it doesn't need faffing around with. Fastest cars get to the front, that's the way it should be. I'm not a fan of mucking around with rules just for the sake of 'close racing', there's other series that do that if you just want a different winner every time. F1 should be about the fastest being the fastest, and if you're the best you should get the advantage. If it makes for a boring race then so be it, if the series dies because of it so be it, but don't change what the series is actually about.
  2. Bloody sure mine did, I'm doubting myself now
  3. Revup retracted in, 100%.
  4. What I mean is, to even cover overheads plus materials is going to get close to that, never mind paying for labour and making a profit on top especially in the South. Realistically you need to be at least doubling that budget for a decent job.
  5. You'll be lucky for that budget, tbh.
  6. I want a couple more kittens at some point, preferably brother and sister. Lexi needs some company as Zelly is just a bit too old to play that roughly with her.
  7. Nico had the right to close the door, but he did it far too quickly and aggressively. He clearly didn't see Lewis until too late, so made a desperate swing across the track to block him. If he'd done it a bit slower Lewis would've had to back off, and would've had the time to do so.
  8. Don't forget, your target is the train co, not DPD
  9. You don't. As DPD said, their contract is with the train company, they do not owe you a duty of care. You cannot claim against them. Really, one of two things went wrong here: 1. The train company didn't inform DPD that the contents were high-value, and needed extra insurance. 2. You didn't make it clear enough to the train company of the value of the item, and didn't check the postage covered the item for the value rather than the weight. What can you do? Practically, not a lot. You can have a go at the train company for not telling you that you needed extra cover and had to pay more, or that they should've realised and informed you, but ultimately unless you can prove you told them how valuable it was then you're out of luck. There's also no proof it was working before you got it, and as it's your own item they've sent you there's no recourse there. I'd write a strongly worded letter asking them how they intend to rectify the situation, but ultimately they don't have to do anything I'm afraid.
  10. Make no mistake, if that had been a Merc and a Ferrari or a Merc and a Red Bull, then the stewards would've handed out penalties for sure. As it was just Merc that suffered, they basically let them deal with it internally.
  11. No, now he gets to be paranoid over excess oil usage instead Don't feel too bad fella, as long as you didn't pay HR money for it then you've still got a cracking car there and in a stunning colour too.
  12. By which point you'd better make sure that they're the guys you want doing the engine replacement, as otherwise you've got a car with no engine you need to get transported so +++ costs.
  13. That is amazing, great stuff Pete
  14. If he's not prepared to take a wheel off to change a battery, then I suspect he's hiding more than a dodgy alternator. I'd have walked too.
  15. How hard can it be to pop to Halfords and buy a new one?! Sucks man
  16. 305/30/19 is a standard GT3 size, so should be plenty of those available. If it's only for track then I wouldn't worry about rolling radiuseses and TCS stuff, as you'll have all that off anyway.
  17. No worse than people putting GT-R wheels on their Zeds.
  18. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT Just do what I do and buy the first car you see, raises the excitement level
  19. I think he means Jack from Royal Steering Wheels, so just a recovered one. Tbh Lloyd it'll be cheaper and easier just to send yours off to Jack to get him to do it.
  20. Get new engine fitted, chuck the cost on a 12mth 0% card, worry about it later? At least you'd get the car up and running. If it's your only car, it's going to cost you at least £2K in selling it on and then buying a new one, so you wouldn't actually be any better off.
  21. ^^^ Absolutely that. Leave the PCV in.
