  1. Hang on, let's start at the start here. You say you bought it recently, within 30 days I assume? That's good. Under the CRA if the part is faulty then it's down to the supplier to pay for return carriage: No ifs, no buts. That's enshrined in law. However, they're claiming the part was damaged upon fitting, so you need proof it isn't. How do you get this? Simple, you take the bearing to A N Other garage and ask them for their opinion. Don't tell them the whole back story up front, simply ask them to confirm whether they believe it was fitted incorrectly or buggered when it arrived. Now, if they say it was likely to be caused by fitting incorrectly then you go back to the garage and make THEM pay for a new one. If they refuse, you either suck the cost up yourself or you take them to court. If they say that it was broken on arrival, then you tell the supplier that and that you want a replacement, and that it's up to them to arrange for the old one to be taken back. If they refuse, you either suck the cost up yourself or you take them to court. Very, very simple. What would I do? Well, practically I'd go and buy a new bearing (preferably from somewhere else) and get that fitted, then at least you have a working car. At that point you then chase either avenue above, depending on who was at fault. I suspect either way you'll end up writing a letter or even starting Small Claims Court proceedings to get your money back, but you shouldn't be out of pocket nor will you be without a car.
  2. No worries fella
  3. Always on the 1st of the month, so if you tax on the 20th then the tax will actually be backdated from the 1st, although it's obviously not in reality. So you'd pay for 30 days but only be using 10 of them IYSWIM. Same as it always was in that regard.
  4. Notifying of SORN automatically triggers the correct refund, either remaining months (if you paid in one go) or cancelling of the DD. If paying in 6mth intervals, you might as well do DD as it's the exact same cost. It's only paying for 12mths up front that gives you the discount IIRC.
  5. They really need to get some people on who actually know cars. That ginger actor was just embarrassing, even if he can pedal. One guest is plenty, thanks. But yeah, I liked the rest. Particularly enjoyed CE saying about him shouting some more in the intro bit
  6. Tbh you might as well just go for it when it's that bad, it's not like you can just leave it and ignore it.
  7. Much better
  8. I'd stay clear of any petroleum based cleaners on vinyl, which pretty much rules out anything you'd normally use. If it was me, I'd go at it with a MF and some very fine compound by hand, on the basis that it can't get any worse and if you can't get it shifted you need to replace it anyway.
  9.
  10. Looks good, what did you use?
  11. I think if you were a fan of TG you'd be mad not to give it the full season to fully commit one way or another. Tonight will be more of the same because it was filmed before the release of the first episode so no way they could change anything, it's next week that may be different. I'm in for the whole of the season, and I'll make my mind up after that.
  12. £10M salary is nothing if you made your company £10Bn.
  13. But yeah, works perfectly and the audio isn't distorted at all, which is rare with exhaust vids.
  14. No, because you filmed in Tard 'O Vision
  15. Might not be 2027 at this rate
  16. It's not the main game, it's a Prologue-esque version. No SP career mode either, the focus is on MP stuff.
  17. Which P Zeroes? Some are better than others (Corsa are okay), but tbh they're sold mainly on the name rather than actually being the best. Sadly Porsche have started using them on the common or garden cars, and they're horrid.
  18. And you think that the US will want to do a completely different trade agreement with us? They won't. We'll end up with the exact same thing.
  19. Not at all, I just have a realistic view of the world. Do you genuinely believe that all banks are evil? And that everyone working for them is evil?
  20. If it's genuine, then it'll be fine. If. Got a link?
  21. I was in the middle of writing something here, but the guys above me have said it in both very clear and simple ways.
  22. Me too, luckily it's at the top.
  23. Ah thank you sir The trouble is, it's very easy to knacker a clutch within 10K by riding it or slipping it everywhere. Is it possible that your driving style contributes to this? No shame if it does, it might not even be something you notice. Realistically, it could well cost you the value of a new clutch + install to find out if the clutch is faulty, which I have to say is fairly unlikely. It's more likely that either you're slipping the clutch regularly OR the install wasn't done correctly. Unless you take it back to another garage you'll never know if it's the latter or not. Could there be a claim for early failure? Yes, possibly, but practically that's going to be expensive and impossible to prove. I'd suck it up, then take it somewhere else to fit to try and eliminate poor fitting as the cause. HOWEVER, before all that then definitely check the slave cylinder as Keyser says, that could very likely be the cause of your woes.
  24. I'd take a long walk in the rain over a Failside.
