    Which bonnet?

HR, but if you're happy to paint then might as well save a few kgs and go with the TS option. You've no other carbon externally, just a bonnet would look a bit OTT I think.
  3. Do as I say, not as I do Your car looks great from the factory, mine looked dull as ditchwater
  4. I was very tempted by Ditch Finders and they'd have worked so well for LM, but this look is for the longer term so TT it is. Cost wasn't particularly cheap at over a couple of grand, and I could have got that down by using a cheaper material or not having the doors & shuts done, or even by just using someone cheaper. However, sometimes it's worth spending a bit extra on the parts and gaining a bit of trust from the chap doing the work, and I felt most comfortable doing it at this level. Very few people have seen it in the flesh, I put pics up here before social media so the comments are still coming through from friends and family. All seems very positive so far, which is always comforting as this price point
  5. Where do you guys live, Beirut?!
  6. I'll try and get some more tomorrow or over the week, weather is looking pretty dire until the weekend though.
  7. Hah, that was always going to be a point of contention! It serves no practical purpose whatsoever, and that photo is doing it no favours at all but it's growing on me and I think it suits the car relatively well. The Alpina B6 GT3 car an with legs more cantered back which I may look into changing when I get back from LM, but we'll see.
  8. I blame you and Grundy for this, y'know.
  9. I try to Anyway, disaster averted, new expansion tank collected and fitted by 11am this morning. If it breaks now, at least it's not something I could easily foresee. Which does of course mean that I had time for a couple of quick pics, which whilst not exactly David Bailey, do give a fairly good idea of what the car is like now it's finished. Well, ish, but more on that later. A bit different than last time, no? Full wrap in 3M 1080 Gloss Burnt Orange Dechrome of window surround and side strake in gloss black Wing mirrors wrapped in gloss black Maxton gloss black front lip spoiler Japspeed BGW Japan Racing JR18s, 18x8.5 ET25 front and 18x9.5 ET22 rear, spacers 18mm/10mm F/R Tyre sizes now 245/45/18F and 275/40/18R, up from 245/45/18 all round VAC E46 seat mount on driver side only Sparco Sprint seat on driver side only #TeamTarmac Tredwear tyre letters & sunstrip Seats will eventually be Recaro Pole Position both sides, however they're on a 6 week lead time so I've only put one in for now just to make sure it would fit and I could defeat the airbag shizzle. Calipers will also be sprayed in either matching orange or silver, depending on how OTT the former will be. Again, I just ran out of time before LM. Massive thanks to Chris at TarmacSportz (wheels), Grundy at TeamTarmac (tyre stickers), Valet Magic in Camberley (vinyl wrap & dechrome), Hack Engineering (seat mounts) and mostly my wife for pretending not to care about all the money I'm p*ssing up the wall on a 12 year old BMW It took me sodding ages to choose that colour, I hadn't actually seen it in the flesh before choosing and in fact changed my mind just a few days before the car was due in for the wrap. I can't praise Robbie at Valet Magic enough, really good guy to deal with and a superb job he did too. I'm delighted with the end result, and it's certainly significantly easier to find in car parks now.
  10. Told you this one would nail it, it's the first one made after the first show feedback. Missed it last night as it clashed with the F1, will catch up tonight.
  11. Still love this project, keep going matey
  12. 100%, which is why I've now got one fitted. I don't feel I'll be that lucky twice.
  13. I have the part in my hand as we speak. It even looks to be the right one
  14. That's the same for everything though: It's nigh-on impossible to find anything on any subject written by someone without an agenda. They key is in trying to sort the wheat from the chaff.
  15. I'll hold you to that, maybe we'll actually find that KFC at 3am
  16. Great job What are you going to do about protecting them? As in, what product have you used, or are going to use?
  17. That's as old as the hills, even you should have heard of that one!
  18. Don't put the space saver on the rear! It ALWAYS goes on the non-driven wheels. You'll massively upset the balance of the car under power using that, as well as possibly give your diff more strain/wear than it needs. Just pop it on the front, and a front tyre on the rear
  19. TADTS Incredibly unlikely to be anything to worry about, if the car us running fine otherwise and you're not losing fluids.
  20. I need some green and grey vinyl, camo the hell out of it
  21. Cheers mate, I really hope so but you never can tell with these things. Certainly the most stressful run up to LM I've ever had.
  22. Car is finished, so I can finally post some pics! ...except I can't, as the bloody thing is stranded at a mate's house Long story short, but the day of stickering up for Le Mans yesterday was aborted when we discovered the expansion tank has developed a leak, flooding the drive with coolant. Yup, two days before I'm due to go away to LM, brilliant. Looks like ECP have a Hella one in stock in Stevenage so I've got to go get that tomorrow AM and hopefully fit that, if not my local indie is going to try and get an OEM one in for tomorrow afternoon. I must say, god bless Clive at Braintree Motor Works for answering his phone on a Saturday at 6pm, it's times like this that good garages and people really come into their own. Hopefully either solution will work, and I'll be back on schedule. And failing that, I've secured back up method of transportation in the form of my Dad's Hummer instead. I did want to take that one day, this wasn't how I planned it though...
  23. I don't think too much will change either, if I'm honest. Not in the long term. Ultimately we'll stil need 300k+ immigration per year, we'll still have very similar trade deals as now, and we'll still need to adopt away policy on most things for those trade deals. The main difference is we'll spend the next 7-10 years paying billions upon billions to lawyers to figure it all out, meaning years of financial uncertainty which will hit everyone directly in the pocket. No thanks, I don't fancy spending bucket loads just to be in the exact same position.
  24. That's exactly what I'd do. Maybe send one final communication detailing that if the balance isn't paid by X date then you'll be refunding and relisting.
  25. Pops and bangs and flames due to how the car is making power, I totally get. Making a car flame with zero other benefit, I just don't understand. Soz.
