  1. That's okay, we can just lobby Scotland, I'm sure they'll help us out...
  2. Hopefully an Iceland win, and convincingly. The big game is on at 17:00 today. I really think Italy could do it this year, they're going to want revenge for the last final and Spain really aren't firing on all cylinders at all.
  3. Also, the second you add the word 'wedding' to any hire of venue/catering/clothes/cars, you automatically incur the standard WTO 50% Wedding Tax. B*stards.
  4. Actually, I'll be honest and say that the market reaction wasn't/hasn't been as bad as I suspected. It's still been awful, but I expected much worse last week. This is a promising sign.
  5. Link now fixed, it wasn't working correctly with the bracket on the end that Wiki pops on.
  6. If everything else is the same, then it's the private plate. No idea why, just go with a different (better) insurer.
  7. I just checked, it's not for that reason at all: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_Day_(United_Kingdom) Election Day in the United Kingdom is by tradition a Thursday. It has been suggested that this tradition arose as the best of several circumstances: Friday pay-packets would lead to more drunken voters on Fridays and weekends; having the election as far after a Sunday as possible would reduce the influence of Sunday sermons; many towns held markets on Thursdays, thus the local population would be travelling to town that day anyway.
  8. All elections and referendums are on a Thursday, aren't they?
  9. We've not heard from Osborne yet since the results, have we?
  10. You must have one somewhere. If you don't, your cooling system would've burst by now or be massively under filled.
  11. Just googled that Carly app, looks like a different GUI for the usual NCS/INPA tools. Very handy, I'll grab that and have a play!
  12. Guys, chill out. We've done well to keep away from the bad-feeling the Scottish Referendum thread descended into, let's not go down that route now.
  13. Anyone see the banter between Gary, Alan and Rio against Thierry when discussing the France vs Ireland result earlier? "Thierry, you've got to hand it to them..."
  14. Id love to live in Gib, it's beautiful there.
  15. Deserved that goal, utterly amazing!
  16. Farage talks a good speech too, arguably better than any other politician out there today. Doesn't mean I want him in charge.

  18. You're suprised that people who believe in one thing are finding sources to support their beliefs? That said, I'd rather people posted their own thoughts now instead of needlessly quoting what others are saying.
  19. Do what YOU want to do, not what your family want. That said, if you're going to spend £10K - £20K on a wedding in the UK, just do the US idea for cheaper and spend a few grand getting the parents over there to witness it. You can then have a regular big party for everyone else when you get back.
  20. All of which is irrelevant now. We've voted out, we need to stop being negative and start looking to the best we can for the country. Sturgeon on Marr now, actually not being as irritating as usual. Looking at her situation now, and a referendum on independence again, I fear that it's no longer as simple as it was for her. Before it was a case of UK or not UK. Now it's a case of UK and Out, or not UK and In, which creates a massive difference in how the overall arguments pan out. It actually might be more difficult to call this time, given that before it was risk vs safety: Now you have the risk of an EU-less UK vs the risk of a Euro-equipped Scotland. Putting aside the issue of nationalism, even I wouldn't want to pass judgement on what would be better for Scotland financially. Tough times ahead for our friends the other side of Hadrian's Wall, for sure.
  21. Understeer, simple as that. I had it yesterday in the same situations, although I was in the Clio so it was a tad more likely to happen.
  22. £350M written in big letters on the side of a bus. That's all the detail we needed, apparently.
  23. Because each space is per person, and you're bringing a plus one. Or basically how the rest of the list is laid out. So now you can't come, but your other half can
