  1. One year with a 5 year extension, that should do it. If they're good and confident, they'll take it. If not, they can get stuffed. Hodgson was never the right choice, it should've been Redknapp at the time and we all knew it, but the FA wouldn't stomach his image. Big mistake. I have no problem with England being losers, but I do take issue with them not appearing to ever really get out of second gear when playing a game. That's what needs to change more than anything. Sod all this 'Oh we must play like XYZ at international level', NO! Play like they do every week: At least they're used to that, and it's pretty entertaining. Maybe they'll succeed, maybe they'll just suck, but it's got to be better to watch than the dross we've had for the last few years.
  2. That's what I'm saying, the FA should only offer a one year contract full stop. The England job is one of the most coveted in world football, people should WANT to do it and accept that for the glamour you get less job security. Or let him do it part time with the Sunderland job, makes no odds to me as it's not like the England job actually takes all year to do anyway. There are some great foreigners, but unfortunately the FA missed them all this year (Conte, Mourinho, Guardiola). I'd love to see Jose in the job, but that's two years away at least.
  3. If he wants the job, then he should take it on that basis. If he doesn't, find a new candidate.
  4. Not the worst idea. I mean, he's hardly what you'd call a cutting edge manager in terms of tactics and training, but then is that what we actually need? Or do we just need someone who won't constantly pick players based on name, and will give hugely motivational team talks/rollickings as needed? I'd like to see him get the job for a year, until Wenger becomes free. If Sam is doing a genuinely good job then hire AW as someone in overall control of the England setup, then if Sam screws up AW can take over. I think it would be a mistake to write off either of them.

  6. I'd just replace it if it were me. £75 is nothing really, the 350Z is easy to replace the screen on, I'd just go with it. It won't have any kind of affect on the value at all, if anything I'd prefer a car with a new screen than one with a chip in it
  7. You need to post up some pics of her status and the replies, I could do with some quality entertainment this afternoon
  8. Doesn't matter at all, all religion is utterly bonkers and completely useless, I was just curious. I am surprised that it's Christianity mind, I was expecting Islam given the brother clearly being in charge, but there you go. She's an idiot. One for the driving, and two for being a grown woman who still does what her brother tells her.
  9. Her family banned her from driving? What is she, 12?!
  10. Send it to the police, not her family.
  11. No chance she averaged over 100mph. That's utter BS. Report the dozy twit to the police. It's the only way.
  12. They do. Or to put it another way, they have to arrange for the item to be collected and delivered back to them: How they achieve that is up to them. If it's an item of worth then £10 is nothing, if it's cheapy then most would write it off.
  13. Coolant will be about 110c, oil I wouldn't worry until you're up at 120c, air intake is what it is so don't worry about it.
  14. Better than any of the alternatives, that's for sure. I think she'll do a fine job. Will be interesting to see who she puts in her cabinet though.
  15. I've used RAC and AA, no real difference in either tbh. I just go with the cheapest, once I've rung round a few times to play them off against each other to get the best rate.
  16. Can a local garage not fab you something up?
  17. When you push the throttle pedal and the revs shoot up but the speed does not increase.
  18. You miserable gits What about watching the home nations? The Irish scoring against Italy, or the Norn Iron lot constantly singing *that* song, and watching Kanu-Robson doing a Cruyff to smash the Belgians. The attacking play of the Germans was beautiful to watch, accurate passing with real purpose. Iceland... ICELAND! Tiny little country holding the winners to a draw and beating comfortably a team full of stars in the second round. Shaqiri's overhead smash and Ronaldo's cheeky backheeled goals. The tension of not knowing who was going through even when all the games in one group had been played, nervously waiting on other results. No, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't that bad either. Germany vs Italy was a stunning game to watch, massively enjoyed that one above all else.
  19. I agree, my point was that Hurst is still celebrated just because he scored three goals in a WC final. Trophies do matter.
  20. Sir Geoff Hurst though.
  21. I think if any player managed to score 1000 goals in the CL, it's a safe bet their team will have won it at least once
  22. PORTUGAL!!!11 No more sad tears for Ronny now
