  1. It could, but so could a ICE car.
  2. Only cost £1.3K Will definitely be interesting to see how much work the kit needs to fit properly, keep us updated
  3. I wouldn't be buying the Teins, let's leave it at that. Personally at that price range I favour the BC Racing stuff. I've run their stuff on my own BMW and MR2, have tried them on a 350Z turbo and will be putting them on the Impreza soon. Excellent range of adjustment, solid build quality, and they'll set any spring rate you want if you ask them before ordering which is very handy. Yup, honestly I wouldn't look further. Unless you can scrape enough for the KWv3, then they're unbeatable.
  4. You'll find the car will stop slower, accelerate slower, and feel heavier through corners due to the extra unsprung weight. You'll also likely have a harsher ride due to the thinner sidewalls, along with the extra weight. However, you will have more grip and let's face it, they look better! Totally your call, and Stevo's last line says it best.

Nice design on them, I have to say. Really like that a lot.
  6. Agreed. I wouldn't even drive it to Trax if it's as bad as you say, it's really not worth the risk. What happens if it locks up on the motorway, chucks you into a spin and then you take out four or five other cars with kids in? I know, I know, it's a longshot but it's not impossible, and ignoring everything else that would happen afterwards (insurance, legal etc) you'd feel absolutely horrendous for the rest of your life. It's only a car, it's only one day, take something else and just enjoy it rather than place yourself and others at risk.
  7. Well that sucks Tbh I think you're going to need to move a bit quicker on this really, as driving around with a smoking car is not only likely to get a tug from the police, but also it's quite hazardous for other road users. Plus if it's burning that much oil (and it certainly sounds like it is) then it's not impossible that you could get a catastrophic failure with the engine suddenly seizing up: At speed, that could be incredibly nasty. Do you have another car you can use in the meantime? Or could you go and buy a cheap snotter for a couple of hundred quid to at least get the 350 off the roads until you've got the funds to fix it?

What size are those wheels Andy? Great colour too, I don't think I've seen a red one in the flesh.
  9. I only came here to correct your spelling Where is it leaking from? If it's somewhere that could suddenly get catastrophically worse then I'd sort it ASAP, if it's just a nibble from somewhere unimportant then I'd leave it.
  10. All the really cool kids just got a VXR then modded the heck out of that
  11. Life does funny things mate. When you're least expecting it, bad stuff happens. However, when you're least expecting it then good stuff happens too
  12. ^^^ This in spades. You've done the hard part, no point in going back to an older inferior OS now. Onwards and upwards!
  13. So you totally ignored the dronecode as posted by the CAA then? Good to know they do have a gauge on them though, I guess that also stops people claiming they had no idea how high they were.
  14. Do these things generally come with an altimeter built in, so you know how high you are? I have no idea what 400ft looks like when I'm standing on the ground looking up!
  15. Sky Insurance are just a broker, so they do push you towards an AMC in the first instance on their website. But make you use, no.
  16. I'm with you Stu, I'll never bother with an AMC ever again. I've paid thousands to insurers over the years, so from now on I'm only ever using them to do the leg work.
  17. Don't rely on the GEM warranty at this point, your rights under legislation are far stronger
  18. Hah, I saw this earlier too!
  19. Dan (Ekona) will quote chapter and verse regarding this, not a lot he doesn't know about consumer rights and regs. PM himIf he doesn't respond here. Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear Cheers Graham No such thing as a statutory three month warranty, and there never has been. The new CRA does alter things slightly in the favour of the buyer in this case though, the main one being that you have the right to immediate refund if the car develops a fault within the first 30 days. You do, however, have to prove the fault was there at the time of sale. Now, given it happened on the way home from the dealer that should be simple to prove, assuming you haven't signed paperwork to the contrary. You probably don't even want a refund at this point, just a working car. However, you should keep this info handy as the garage now only gets one chance to repair, so if they **** that up then you can go for them twice.
  20. Only two inches shorter than the equally auto M6
  21. Oh I make mistakes. I just don't put them on the internet
  22. I don't find it funny when great cars break because the owner did something silly. I actually find it quite depressing Don't get me wrong, I hope you got lucky and just get to consider it a lesson learned on basic car maintenance, I really do. And yes, the dipstick is crap!
  23. They don't have to give you a courtesy car though, and by the sounds of what they normally sell I'm guessing they probably won't
