I mean, I agree it's still a massive wedge of cash, but I think it all depends on what you actually use your phone for. Calls and texts? Yeah, you'd be absolutely bonkers to buy one of these. Lots of on the go semi-pro app usage, or lots of graphics-heavy gaming? I can can see why you'd want one.
Tell you what did make me stop in amazement last night, was when they said that over 90% of ALL contactless payments in the US are done by ApplePay. That's absolutely astounding! Is contactless just not the done thing in the US (I know they don't use chip and pin, and prefer signatures), or is ApplePay bigger over here than I give it credit for, or have they started a revolution over there?
The other thing to make me giggle was the announcement that YOY app downloads between July-Aug 15-16 was up by 106%. Sounds amazing, until you remember that Pokemon Go came out this year and might be slightly skewing that figure
