I mean, I agree it's still a massive wedge of cash, but I think it all depends on what you actually use your phone for. Calls and texts? Yeah, you'd be absolutely bonkers to buy one of these. Lots of on the go semi-pro app usage, or lots of graphics-heavy gaming? I can can see why you'd want one. Tell you what did make me stop in amazement last night, was when they said that over 90% of ALL contactless payments in the US are done by ApplePay. That's absolutely astounding! Is contactless just not the done thing in the US (I know they don't use chip and pin, and prefer signatures), or is ApplePay bigger over here than I give it credit for, or have they started a revolution over there? The other thing to make me giggle was the announcement that YOY app downloads between July-Aug 15-16 was up by 106%. Sounds amazing, until you remember that Pokemon Go came out this year and might be slightly skewing that figure

The price is the same as it was last year, so in practical terms it's a price drop and you're getting a phone with better features. That's impressive.

For how good they appear, that's very good value. Oh yeah, and the stereo thing on the iPhone is brilliant. Again, IF the volume is there and it can make a small wireless set of speakers redundant, then I may be tempted. Maybe.

POKEMON GO ON APPLE WATCH!!! I dunno, I still want to want a Watch and this is better but not quite there. The multi core in the 7 is a great idea though, but only if it really does prioritise apps correctly. The camera thing is just getting silly now, the camera in the 4 was more than good enough for pics: No serious snapper will use a phone for pics, and no drunk person grabbing a snap of a cat stuck in a box needs two lenses. So in one way it's still the best phone out there, but I still have no interest in buying UNLESS the reviews prove significantly better battery life over the 6 Plus. Then I might be tempted.

Just had a cursive glance over the iPhone family wiki, and I didn't realise that they actually made the battery in the 6+S smaller than in the older 6+. I'm definitely glad I got the latter and never upgraded now, be interesting to see which way they go on the 7s.

One new feature? A battery that lasted a sensible amount of time would be great. I'm talking a week of normal use, but that'll never happen as people are used to charging daily and power usage is forever increasing as features get added. Circular argument, sadly.

Nope. Bored of upgrading phones now, not when they offer nothing practical over the existing models. It's all just gimmicks now, across all manufacturers. I can't see them launching the Watch 2 today, or at least if they do it'll either be a token crappy upgrade else it'll get lost in the witch hunt that is morons complaining about the loss of the headphone socket which has been around since the late 1800s.

Put some cats on, you should be fine. Metal ones won't burn out, if you can get them. Or the OEM ones, and just take them off after the test. You may need a remap if you're particularly on the edge.
