  1. Agreed, it's fine. You could do better, but you could do a lot worse.
  2. Xmas might be a push, but fingers crossed. Fair play for the guy owning up, deffo worthy of buying him a beer I think.
  3. Just seen it. For once, Steve and I agree on a TV show. It started with promise (although the theme tune is a bit crap, it's def no Jessica) as the Vulcan is something I've not seen a lot of. I'd rather have seen Hammond in it, as we might have been spared the obvious jokes, but what disappointed me most was the sound. The V12 in that is volatile, but it sounded positively anodyne through the speakers. Not my setup either, I promise you that, it just sounded like they turned the gain down too far. Was it clipping? I don't know. Shame though. The Zuma jokes went down well with the audience, and I'll admit I'd not seen that clip of him so that's perhaps my loss for not finding it funny. The chatting was the usual, as you'd expect, and it was watchable for sure. The celeb bit remains deathly unfunny. The Yank driver is just irritating now, he treats the viewer like an idiot, and why should we be excited about a hypercar if he can't be bothered? At least the Stig was just deadpan nothing, you made him what you wanted, Skinner is just a tw*nt. And the special forces bit. I'm sorry, but wtf was the point? Being raped in the arse whilst May misses the 2ft headshot? Well, comedy gold right there. Fake queen in a high speed chase in an S8? Oh, my sides. In fairness if the segment had been half as long then sure, it actually would've worked well I think as it's a subject ripe for ripping, but for me it was too slapstick. And I say that even bearing in mind the characters involved. The guy who built his own Merc C9 was superb though, the genuine admiration from the guys came through and it was beautifully handled. The Vulcan was shot with the same grace and dedication, and that's something GT will always excel at I feel. I'm not sure which GT is the real one now. The TG replica, or the gooning clusterf*ck. I genuinely hope the former, but then can I blame them for trying something a bit different? That's what I wanted, I know, but it seems that they've lost the subtlety that TG could have on occasion. Perhaps having the Beeb holding the reins was a good thing? Roll on Ep3, let's see where it goes!
  4. PSVR is a massive step down in quality, and tbh unless Sony can find a way to boost the gfx on it then it's going to die quickly. I've tried it, and Batman is fun for 10mins but the fly screen look isn't a good one. Might be okay for a basic run, but given it's giving out PS3-style gfx it's going to look awfully dated in a couple of years. Nice effort, but too early or too cheap. I've yet to try Oculus or Vive.
  5. No-one with a girlfriend uses Linux, so I'm ignoring those seven people.
  6. They'd almost be better off dropping the track altogether, it really is useless. To be fair though Dunsfold isn't exactly much better, but at least they don't have to turn around and come back the other way
  7. I don't get why people get so hung up over the Rev Match thing. Couple of weeks of practice and you can do the exact same thing yourself, and the bonus being you can do it on any manual car you drive then. I'm not sure I could pick a worse base for a track car than a Civic tbh, unless it was an auto diesel estate Don't get me wrong, they're good solid cars, but they're essentially a granny's shopping car with a revvy engine. For me, something that was designed as a RWD sports car will always be a better place to start from.
  8. This x billionty. If you want Photoshop, get Photoshop. There's a reason it's the default choice in the field, and whilst other programs can do similar things PS does everything better.
  9. Absolutely, sod that. Never, ever let your insurance lapse on anything unless you don't mind losing it. So yeah, you really need to re-insure the Zed pronto!
  10. http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games It'll play those ones, and those ones only. The list is being added to on an almost weekly basis though.

    Lip/Lip Kit

Sadly mate I can well believe it, and good work on covering off the question before it gets asked!

Do you have any more pics of that lip Chris? Maybe from a different angle?
  13. It's like living in your shed when you've got a perfectly good house to sleep in. Why spend all that money and then not use it for part of the year just because it's a bit cold? I might not use my car as often, but that's purely because I have less stuff planned. I'd never tuck her away in a state that meant I couldn't just grab the keys and go for a morning blat on a cold Sunday morning
  14. There's not a single original line on that car.
  15. Very good point. You'd either need to warm them up first in blankets or by arsing around in the car park, or pick something that's more of an aggressive road tyre rather than a trackday special. That said, given the OEM use I'd expect the MPSC2s to be the best of both worlds, however pricing is going to be an issue here.
  16. It's boring. It's the car every six year old would draw if you gave them a pack of crayons. It shows absolutely zero flair for design at all.
  17. Would the alternative have been any better? No austerity, borrow a shitload more and end up in a worse position than we are now? We're so governed by foreign markets that it's unlikely anything would be massively different anyway, except we'd have a bigger hole in our pockets. Do I think Osborne was too strict in his planning? Yes, I do, which is why I think Hammond taking a much more flexible approach is a good thing and will only benefit the country. I do believe that getting the welfare cost lower is a good thing though, and whilst the odd deserving case will slip through the gap it's still the right way to go. I'd like to see more tax breaks given to large companies who are prepared to set up HQs in the north of the country, try and spread the wealth rather than keep it all in the capital. Corporation tax desperately needs to come down, it's a vile tax that stunts growth massively.
  18. Always tyres first. I agree, a decent diff will help, but you'd still need to be able to put the power down first regardless.
  19. New one isn't fit to wear the name. That interior is unforgivable in a car costing that much. It couldn't look more generic if it tried.
  20. Which feature showed promise? Arguing with the audience and the 'editing'? Killing off celebrities? Driving round the dullest track ever with a stereotypical American driver?
