Two things: Never burn your bridges. Staying on and being helpful may pay dividends in the long run, should things not turn out as you hope. Once a decision is made, always stick with it. Never change your mind or alter a plan, stay on the route you've planned. Which is of no help, I know, but that may help you decide which is more important.

HGVs are easier to overtake than cars. Deathly slow to accelerate, very predictable in their movements, they're just a bit longer so adjust your road placing to obtain the best view. Your TED when overtaking a lorry shouldn't really be any more than if it was a car, especially in something with a bit of oomph.

Drive one. They're utterly fantastic. Even the auto box is spot on, but it's the handling and ability to use the power that really makes it special. Much better car than the M4 is. But yeah, it just feels like a boggo 118d inside which is a bit of a pity. You could always add your own touches or spend a little more on deviating stitching etc to liven it up.

Unless you live in Scotland, where they're much better at it than anywhere else.

It does on the motorway when accelerating hard, but never on the country lanes where it matters IME.

That's brave with kilos of vinyl and those lead spacers And the wing too! I reckon I'm under 1650kg, easy. That should be the minimum for a boggo car which mine pretty much is, even with the spacers the wheels are lighter than stock, seat is much lighter, bits and pieces lost from the engine bay etc.

When I'm in charge, anyone that has an accident on a straight bit of road gets an instaban for a year. There's just no way it should be possible for motorways to have accidents every single day. This is alongside my long-standing snipers-on-roundabouts for those who don't indicate pledge.

Indeed. Any old diesel lump has more than enough torque to overtake with, but no-one ever does. Me, I'll do it at every single time given the chance. Good practice.

That made me do a sad I know they're the same company underneath, but the respect that all the LMP teams have for each other at WEC is a breath of fresh air.

Oh I don't get road ragey or anything, it's just frustrating to see the incredibly poor driving standards. They should be making good progress, to not be is just as selfish as middle lane hogging or not indicating at roundabouts. I'm talking about holding a drift at 60mph on an off-camber blind bend, I'm talking about being able to cruise round a gentle bend at 60mph on part throttle easily.

Because they were taught to maintain good traffic flow, and if conditions allow they're driving without due care and attention for other road users if they're that far under the limit. It's why the roads seem so much busier

Doesn't really matter what they offer you for yours, it's all about the cost to change If they offer you £3K for yours and you want £5K for it, they just need to take £2K off the sticker price of the new car and you're no worse off.

Not worth the risk. Replace them all and make the jump even, or replace with the same.
