  1. Front fogs last night and this morning are essential it's pea soup here and it's freezing and twin rears are far better than one and I only use them when it's fog not rain or dark like most prats in this country So what speed were you doing using the fronts? And on what road? You never need twin rear fogs, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard One is more than enough, they're bright as hell as it is!
  2. Well, exactly. All they're for is to light the very edge of the road up, so you can see the kerb when crawling along at sub-20mph. I really hate Ford for making their switches light the front fogs up regardless, even if you only need the rears on. Makes every Ford driver look an idiot. Grrr.
  3. You don't need front fogs. And a single rear one is fine, unless you enjoy blinding other drivers.
  4. If you're happy to spend that kind of cash on tyres that you want for performance (and good on you for doing so), then you'd do just as well to grab a set of the 18" Rays and put MPSS on them. Yes, it won't be the cheapest option, but it's the one I'd recommend. In terms of comfort, you may well notice a slight reduction given the smaller sidewall. However, that will be massively offset by the fact the Rays are significantly lighter than the 17" wheels (5lbs a corner!) so your car will feel lighter and nimbler on it's feet. It'll also accelerate quicker, brake in shorter distances, use less fuel etc. Basically, the best of all worlds! I'd expect ride quality to improve, tbh.
  5. I don't think I want to ever have kids now.
  6. Impressive tech, and something I never want to see on the roads. Ever. It's just one step closer to autonomous cars, and I can think of nothing worse. Once it starts and takes hold, you'll never be allowed to enjoy your normal car again. No car person in their right mind would be behind something like this, not when you take it to it's ultimate conclusion.
  7. Blocked pan won't cause the float valve to stick open
  8. That's not a bad price at all.
  9. Rockingham or Mallory, wouldn't even entertain the others.
  10. Bet I would. But only because you didn't say anything about not using cruise control
  11. Timing chain, water pump would be what I'd be doing engine wise.
  12. Never lock a car away for the winter. Cold sunny days and clear freezing nights are some of the best times to drive.
  13. That was about the only exception, I did very well on that one. Def not higher than new though, they were a £30K car at launch in 2004.
  14. Basically if I buy a car, then you can guarantee that's the next model to plummet in value, until I sell it upon when prices will start rising again
  15. Yup, mostly tax deductible. If you're going to lose it anyway, might as well go to a good cause rather than HMRC.
  16. I've given up tbh. The few good bits each episode has are so far outweighed by the dross that I just don't think it's for me at all. I also find it a pain having to fire up an app just for one programme, and the app itself isn't exactly user friendly (Xbone), but that's a bit picky if I'm honest with myself. I appreciate millions will still watch, and when it's good it's pretty damn good, it's just that those bits are so few and far between.
  17. Oh man, those rifles are mint! I'd love one of those, how comes you ended up with two? I didn't expect A3 DC to make as much of a difference as it did, if I'm honest. It went from okay but weird to a work of genius.
  18. You do need to go pretty tough on them, the idea is to generate some serious heat (especially the last set) and accelerate as quickly as you can to target speed.
  19. When you nail the perfect line coming out of the Karussel... Not the best pic of my old car, but I love it because that livery (left on from the LM trip a week or so before) works so well on that colour, and for a big ol' gal she was pretty handy all day there at the Ring. Fun facts: That's my old VXR220 behind me, and I'm on MPSS purely because I forgot my locking wheel nut key and so the 888s I'd had shipped out there had to stay in the paddock
  20. Alien 3 needs to be watched as the DC version, else it's a little dull and silly. Aliens, on the other hand, is just made more awesome with the DC. I quite like Alien Res, but I acknowledge that it's a pretty poor Alien film. Doesn't mean I don't secretly enjoy watching it though...
  21. He's never gonna dance again. One minute you're alive, then Wham! You're dead.
  22. Being correct is never pedantic. And hey, it wasn't me for once!
  23. Overtaking is easy, look up the inside then pull fully out to the other side, like you would do anyway
  24. Probably, but might just be pad transfer. Go and do a proper clean up procedure, and see what happens. 50 to 30 light pressure x5 70 to 30 med pressure x5 100 to 40 hard as you can but not triggering ABS x5 Leaving a good few miles of driving without touching the brakes in between.
