  1. That's actually really nice, good job But for the sake of the car please lose that red stubby, it's dreadful!

They're not comparable at all, due to the leaps and bounds in tech that the industry has made in terms of safety. It's why even NCAP themselves keep changing the standards so that a five star ten years ago would only get a three star (or less) now. Of course a modern car is likely to be safer than an older one, that much is obvious and doesn't require anything other than common sense to comprehend. My point was that a direct comparison is useless and unfair.
  3. Safe? Yeah. Good idea? Nope. It'll make the car wobbly as anything, as essentially it's doing a very important job of connecting the two sides of the car together, so you'd find extra wear on suspension components and a hell of a lot of scuttle shake. The chassis would be trying to twist itself every corner. It may look a bit naff and flimsy, but you'd be surprised at just effective things like that are from an engineering POV.
  4. I desperately want it, even though I know it's going to fail so hard. Realistically unless Sony can bump up production of the PSVR to meet demand AND give some AAA games to use it with (RE7 is amazing), then I can't see where it goes. It'll be interesting to see if Scorpio use MS' ties with Oculus to give Rift compatibility, as I think there's a fair few people on here who would grab a Scorpio on launch if it had Rift + Forza 7 compatibility...
  5. 3 series saloon of some type would get my money if I needed a practical but fun car. E90 335i is a hoot. Or an Impreza/Evo, if you want to stay Jap.

The 350 is 12 years older than the Mustang, so any comparison on safety is pretty much irrelevant. It's like comparing the safety features of a 350 to those of a mk5 Ford Escort
  7. You mean the McLaren currently 85% owned by foreigners anyway?
  8. Even if it does pass because you have a hooky tester, it's also bloody dangerous for others on the road who have to stare into your dazzling lights. Have a bit of respect for your fellow drivers, please
  9. It doesn't change, and I found it frustrating too which is why I gave up on it shortly after the school. I couldn't get past the clickers, they were too irritating.

It's missing a load of junk no-one should really care about. That said, all that missing stuff and it's still weighs as much as a small country
  11. Looks like someone has cut all the wires and connectors off to me, but it's been a while since I got behind there for a proper look. I'd say that's going to need you to source the proper connectors, figure out which wire is which, and then reattach them all. Not a fun job by any means.
  12. See, for me I'd put Chuck, Kate and Keanu on the dinner party list rather than the pub list, as I think I'd appreciate them and their stories more in a more formal setting.
  13. ^^^This. Unless you get RHD lights, you'll never pass MOT.

It was a rhetorical question, I don't really care

It's voluntary, so really unless you know your vehicle is good enough you'd be better off leaving it at home. Trouble with the NCAP tests is that they're not consistent: That 2 star mark might well have been 4 star a few years back. Plus just look at the stuff it's missing and marked down for, that really would have no bearing on anything (what the hell is 'i-Size' anyway?). That said, it was silly of Ford to put it through the test if they weren't confident of at least 4 stars. Personally speaking I don't remotely care about crash protection ratings, but I can see that those with kids probably do.
  16. Agreed, crap situation all round. I think they might've been more helpful were it not for the lack of dealer servicing, but there you go. Probably not a lot more, mind.
  17. I agree, which is why I suggested the sensors first.
  18. As your car is a 2011 model, it doesn't fall into the recall section. It sucks, but really there's precious little you can do here apart from suck it up and get it sorted at your own cost. Legally, I don't see where you can go as your contract is with the supplying dealer not Nissan (when did you buy the car?). I agree that I'd be mad as hell too and vow never to buy another, but that's the world we live in I'm afraid. Nissan really do not have a clue about customer service, especially on their sporty models unless it's a GT-R.
  19. It is a hell of a travel for you, but I can highly recommend Valet Magic in Camberley, Surrey. They did mine, and I've had nothing but positive comments from people in terms of the quality of mine. It's now been on for over 6 months and still looks perfect, nothing is peeling up or lifting at all and I've personally seen wraps that have started to lift significantly after just a few months. Quality of service is important too when you're dropping a few £k on a wrap, and Robbie was absolutely superb when I had a minor flaw in mine just above an exhaust tip. Could've been the heat from the exhaust tbh, but it was replaced and sorted with zero quibble from him. Highly professional, really friendly and just an all round pleasure to deal with. http://www.valetmagic.com/ I genuinely wouldn't even look anywhere else, and it were reversed and I was having to travel to Yorkshire for that kind of quality, I still would without hesitation.
  20. Did you know they're working on a version of it for VR? I can't wait until that comes out
  21. Don't forget to call your current insurer now to tell them about the mods, as right now if you have an accident you're not covered.
