Those tyre ratings for wet/dry/noise are pretty much useless, and whilst you could compare a c rated hankook with an a rated Pirelli and find a difference, overall compound and tread style will make a vast difference even between an AS3 and an AS4 (as it should, given rapid tyre development these days). If it’s a tighter feel you’re after, then def do the tyres and geo but I would also give serious consideration to purchasing some chassis bracing instead of the arbs, it made more of a difference on my old Zed than anything else. Gave a lot more feel and pointyness than even I was expecting, and worth every penny.

The car is probably twitchy due to mismatched tyres tbh, or your geo, or both. Read the Sticky about mixed tyres for more info.

The MPS4 (which is what I run as I cannot get MPS4S in 17”) are like a perfectly cooked steak with chunky chips, steamed beans and the sauce of your choosing. The MPS4S are like the same steak, but served by a nude Scarlett Johansson offering herself as dessert. In short, they’re both excellent but you’d be mad to not go for the latter. Just move up a width front and back to suit, they have them in those sizes.

Tbh, you’d need the specs of all the dampers and the spring rates to make an informed decision as much as people saying “yeah I’ve had these and they’re great”, as it depends on what kind of feel you want from them.
-
Didn’t know you were in Japan, now it makes more sense why you’re only looking at JDM options
-
BC Racing BR also well worth looking at, I’ve had them across three different vehicles (including a 350) and found them to be excellent in terms of quality, adjustability and damping levels.
-
If I had the money I’d buy that in a heartbeat. Great ad Stu, and that car is worth every penny of what you’re asking for it.
-
And you have just saved me minutes of my life, Colin I thank you very much kind sir!

Fancy summing up the results for those that don’t have YT access at work?

The 104mph was on the A12 near Lower Hacheston, Suffolk. So def not somewhere you just pay the coppers! Truth be told the officer mucked up the paperwork by putting a NI code down and not a English one, so when I took my documents to the station the officer at the desk couldn’t actually process it. I got very lucky, and since June 3rd 2004 I no longer speed on motorways/DCs. Not worth it, way too easy to get caught.
-
Which numpty voted for the second option?!?!
-
More money than sense? I’d spend an awful lot of money to ensure I didn’t get a ban tbh, that would seem to be the sensible option! Fun fact: I once got caught doing 104mph average over a 1/4 mile speed trap, in a 70 zone. Walked away with zero points and zero fine
-
It’s really not. The law specifically allows for circumstances to be taken into account, for example if you are the sole carer of someone who would be harmed by you losing your license then you’ll get a massive fine and points instead. So you’re wrong. Unless you can point me to the exact legislation that backs you up, which you can’t because it doesn’t exist.
-
No it’s not. Likely yes, but guaranteed no.
-
Actually France is one country where they automatically deduct a percentage for fluctuating speedos or dodgy calibration, so when you’re caught you’re caught. And that comes from someone who was stopped for doing 180kmh in a 110kmh, and the adjusted speed was still significantly naughty enough for them to take my licence and €750 there and then

I4 with a DCT, or a V6 with manual/auto’box. Lesser one could be reasonably priced but undesirable, the latter superb but expensive. I’m sure it’ll be brilliant in either format, just gutted they’ve had to drop the manual from the base version
-
Whoever told you that nonsense needs shooting, utter tripe. They’re two separate offences, the first one has been dealt with by the course (which clearly didn’t work ), so the second one gets the points and fine.
-
So when you used the jumper cables on the old battery for the last time, did the car actually start? Or was that the point it was dead as a dead thing?
-
Funniest thing I’ve seen for ages, although it’s a bit of a shame it didn’t go through and the big six get kicked out of the PL, as that would mean my beloved Leeds would be in a CL spot

Millionaire previous owner, must’ve maintained it well... comes with four landsail tyres Well, at least now we know why he was a millionaire! Congrats on the new car, enjoy
-
Is that what DVLA and TfL have said?
-
Tried calling the DVLA and asking them? They’re the only ones who will know really, but I suspect you’re asking for the impossible, regardless of the reality of the cars being identical.

I don’t think anyone who wanted a Supra would’ve been holding out for a tarted up version of a 350, if I’m honest. Certainly not once they saw it... Is the current Supra the most disappointing new car of recent times? Interesting question.
-
Millers, how did I forget that one?! I’ve even used it before as well!

How many oils are specced for track use then? Outside of Motul, I honestly can’t think of any off hand, and how many people bother with the expense of that in a road car that sees the odd track day? Would I buy Tesco oil? For a fun car no, although these is no logic behind that at all and I cannot fault a single word Alex says. I’d shove it in the dadmobile happily though!
