  1. I hated it, then I loved it, then I hated it, then I adored it. I suspect the sequel will encourage the same emotions
  2. Most people don't care, or have wheels that are kerbed to buggery anyway so wouldn't notice. That said, the place does sound like it's staffed by idiots, so take your custom elsewhere.
  3. Runflats on the Nismo?! What the hell are Nissan thinking of, that's just bonkers.

    Tyre Road Noise

Zeds are noisy things anyway, so any extra road noise would be minimal but yes, there will be an increase. Whether you'd notice it or not is another matter entirely, it's not like Bridgestone tyres are particularly quiet! Personally I wouldn't put up with tyre roar on a daily, but on a fun car I couldn't care less as I want the tyre performance, but each to their own. As a general rule. Yokohama tyres are reasonably quiet over the range. We've just swapped from Eagle F1s to RE070s on the Impreza, quite a noticeable improvement in road noise but then the Impreza has pretty much zero sound insulation anyway so you notice these things more.
  5. Match the fronts, but assuming they're going to be changed shortly then I'd stick with the MPSS over the others. Or stay with the 050As, if you're happy with them then no real need to change (plus availability is good with them, in case of puncture etc). Def not the Pirellis though, awful things!
  6. Given that Evo stated in their test that the MPSS dry performance came 1st in the two test and the Dunlops 7th and 8th (out of 9), then it's even more clear that the MPSS would be a better choice for him. The Dunlops are an average tyre: No more, no less. If you can't get the MPS4S, then get the MPS4. They also use the multicompound design that the Cup2s use. Although I suspect at this point you've already made your mind up to use the Dunlops on cost alone and are wanting someone to validate that opinion, so I'll leave you guys to it.
  7. I can't believe you can't get MPS4S in Dubai. The country where everyone must have the latest and greatest, regardless of cost? Try contacting Michelin directly.
  8. Lol I was thinking the exact same thing, but decided against it because OP doesn't want to spend a lot on tyres
  9. Then it looks like you probably can't do much than contact NMGB directly, and hope they look kindly on you.
  10. Nope, never. Too much cost, might as well get a respray done once a year rather than protection film. If you mean car bras, then good god no. Would rather have a stone chipped car than an ugly one!
  11. They're the most important part of the car, and the only thing keeping you in contact with the road and will affect the driving experience much more than any other part of the car. If there's one place not to scrimp, it's the tyres. Tbh, you'd be better off looking at the MPS4S now, they ain't gonna be much more than the 050As and will be 100% better.
  12. Yup, no idea what I'm looking at there.
  13. I'm just too lazy, these things will happen and I'd rather drive the car than worry about every little mark/
  14. Call everyone. However, looking at your location and driving time, good luck with getting anything cheap! What do you consider 'cheap'? I'd suggest £1500 would be well within the bounds of acceptable, given your circumstances.
  15. Pay what you think the house is worth. If it's worth the asking price then pay it, I've had a friend recently who put an offer in on a house and lost it for the sake of trying to save a grand. He really really wanted it, too. I paid asking price for mine because I knew it was significantly undervalued, and it was too perfect to risk missing out on. I also achieved asking price for my last property, which was also my buyer's first purchase and they went straight to that value as well because they wanted it and knew it was worth it. I've never understood people who try to get money off everything simply because that's the done thing.
  16. RE050A are significantly better than anything Dunlop make IMHO. Weight ratings won't make any noticeable difference.
  17. More GRW beta today. If you can get past the clunky controls (who thought standing up after picking something up even though you were crouching beforehand is a good idea?!), the terrible pop-up & lighting (the day/night interface over the hills is hilarious), the dire aerial handling (why are the helis slower than driving?) and the repetitive nature of go here collect this, then actually it's not dreadful. I'm finding myself enjoying it quite a bit, however there's still far too many bugs for this to be a day one purchase and I can't see what you'd do after end game as the missions are sooooo similar. I may pick it up 6 months down the line when the bugs are done with and there's more idea of what goes on. But no-one should get this on the 7th, you should save your money for GOTY Mass Effect Andromeda that launches two weeks later.
  18. Sod's law I'm afraid! You may see a slight imperfection after it's been touched up, but it'll look 100% better than it does now so I wouldn't worry about it. No need to buy a new caliper, you'd be better off either buying a used one to have recoated and then swap with yours, or simply take yours off and have it sent away. Welcome to the forum btw, I didn't realise this was your first post
  19. Stone chip. Easy done, either your wheel dragged it in or another car came flying past and threw a chip through the spokes of the wheel. Definitely not a warranty claim. Three options: 1. Touch it up with a little bit of paint if you can get the exact colour match 2. Remove caliper and send it away to be painted all over again 3. Ignore it and accept these things happen Me, I usually go for the last option.
  20. I used them on my K1, many moons ago. Brought me to just under the limit at Woodbridge, but only just. You won't really know until you try. Things like the Supertrapp exhausts work very well, adjustable too,
  21. Yup, def need to change exhaust. They'll also measure it from one exhaust pipe not centrally, so potentially even louder.
  22. I wish they got rid of the driveby test, then like you say at least we could standardise the static tests. If possible with your exhaust setup, personally I would grab a cheap OEM backbox and chuck that on for the day. No issues with noise then, plus it shuts the NIMBYs up.
  23. I think I stumbled across the orders wheel once or twice too, no idea how though! You would expect a better tutorial, really. You guys playing with friends or solo?
  24. You know the friendly guy in the black Ford Ranger who flashed to let you out of the Church Street turning so you could carry your drive towards Halstead on Friday at about 16:30? That was me! Your car sounds ace, btw.
