Absolutely agree. Same reason that locking wheel nuts are awful things.

Any figure out if that's lovely or horrific Col Think I rather like it though. Easy to do?

If I would say one thing to anyone, just avoid Pirellis like the plague. There is nothing they do that is not beaten by every other competitor. Horrible tyres. So which 996/997 did you have, Alpinaman? Gearbox? Who did your setup? As Docwra says, it's a good job they didn't invent the dual clutch gearbox, or have the most successful racing engine of all time, and the most successful racing chassis, and are class leading in bring RWS back to the masses, or ensuring that performance cars fans still have manual 'boxes to look forward to, or in the days of downsizing turbo lumps are still offering 9000rpm 500bhp 4L NA engines. So what was so bad about the 996 that made you go and buy a 997? Oh man, look I admit I have a hardon for Porsche's but they are bloody good cars. The 718 just have a dull engine but I've not driven the manual nor a PSE equipped one yet, and in terms of pure fun I found the 991.2 C2S to be a match for a 458. Or course I'd pick the Fezza out of the two, but it costs twice as much.

I suspect the latter, funny how everyone's does that

Great snaps guys, thanks! I mean, if anyone else would maybe be interested in this next year then speak up, doesn't hold you to anything and a nice group car trip could be the ultimate non road trip I feel like, by saying it out that, that I've mentally committed myself. I WILL do this, not just try, but I WILL achieve it. I'm still young enough-ish that my body can take it, and I just want to do something different. Something that takes as much will power as anything. And, as those that were here four years again when I did my drive to Gibraltar in the 911 May remember, I've had my own demons with mountains before it would be nice to stick two fingers up at

Just did a FaceTime with my cats, I feel happier now. Gotta ring insurer this morning to confirm I can stay past today, just a formality. I hope

I don't get running at all. Just holds no appeal, indoors or outdoors. No idea why, wish I did as it's a go-anywhere hobby and a very social one.

Get better wheels. These wheels weigh a ton, you'll kill the handling of the car along with accel and braking. By all means use them as a temporary get around until your better wheels come though.

LC means nothing, they've tested both LC at the bottom of the run and rolling start taking the corner as quick as possible, makes no difference if Veyron or FlF or GT-R. What size and type of tyres you running? I still reckon once you get past 1st you'd be fine, quite easy to get hooked up there. -
Pic? I don't want to say anything either way until seeing the damage, as my first thought is replace as if it's big enough to be cosmetically noticeable, then there is very likely to have structural damage. They're too important to risk. That said, I do have the perfect solution for you, just want to see a pic first

You need to get yourself to a Vmax200 day now, my friend. As a one off cost it'd be worth it to see how you run with the big boys. -
I already have one of my friends up for it as he's the action/go getter type, so if you want to come with then please do mate. I can set up a group somewhere and we csmstart serious chats about it never too early to arrange I reckon.

No kids here, just fur babies, so would like to get it out of the way before I can no longer justify adventures. Definitely not something I take lightly, and I would build up to it properly by doing weekend hikes etc up Ben Nevis/ whatever is appropriate. I want to push my body, and since it's not that long ago that I could barely walk for more than 25m without suffering I'd like to carry on with enjoying what I have. I've been thinking about it for the last couple of years, but next year seems a good time.

The 4hrs sleep in three days plus constant morphine zonked me out, but don't fear: I'm back now! I actually fell asleep mid-text seding a mate a message. New staff here so unbelievably helpful, like they refuse to let you open a window or by yourself or do your own gown up. Just feels more like a hotel, if you've never done private care THIS is why it's worth every penny.

You almost want to force a regular socket over it and impact it off.

Really not, not right now. The spelling is atrocious, I'm ashamed!

Can't eat anything at all still Spoke to the surgeon earlier, he's gonna get me eating soft food asap if possible but not too soon as it can irritate the bile duct. I'm sweating like a paedo in a playground with this infection, got silly surgical socks on too. Halucinations are getting intense, like I rekember having cinversatiims that simply didn't happen, ever. Unsettling.

Anyone climbed it before? Anyone want to? Quite fancy doing this next year instead of going to LM again, been looking at costs and if you cba to get sponsored it's about £3k all in, including gear. Looks challenging enoug to feel like an accomplishment but not so hard you'd get out there and likely fail. Any hints? Or anyone fancy joining me?

I miss my cats It's Lexi's 2nd birthday today and I'm missing it. Just want to give her cuddles. Stupid broken body. Oh, I had a read of my notes earlier when I transferred, turns out my gallstone is 16mm in diameter, which seems quite big.

And no-one has pooed in front of me yet.

I'm now in the comfier hospital, where I'm being waited on hand and foot: Ice cold water, fancy coffees for my folks have arrived and I have Sky piped to my private room on a Samsung TV. Could swear their morphine is stronger too, pain nearly completely gone but I've still not had a pony for a whole week now. Ah well, well, such is life. Had to have a third cannula though, last one was very painful on initial flush so I didn't trust that.

Yup, he's completely ripped off Grundy's design completely, even down to where the last louvre is a fraction too long by the curve in it. Grundy doesn't care though, he just laughed and wished him luck.

Sorry, wasn't trying to tell you off It's not about driving at 10/10, it's the fun driving at 8/10 where the the difference is really felt. The one thing I've consistently said to everyone on here over the last nine years is that badge is the thing that matters to me the least. To assume that all Porker fans buy them because of that alone just brings you down to the level of the people you're judging, no?
