  1. Following that, the worst night I've had so far. Freezing cold under a sheet, then roasting hot under a duvet, drenched in sweat since midnight so massively uncomfortable (so clammy my fingers are wrinkled this morning!), loads of wind but I can't trust a fart, and just a fair amount of stomach pain. Starting to wonder if it's morphine withdrawal? Will have to search that. I just want to go home now. Glad someone enjoyed the horror show of last night though
  2. Check the S-class too, think that might be the same?
  3. R8. Every new Audi from this point on, most likely.
  4. If I had to guess, I'd say closer to the size of a pint pot. Horrendous.
  5. Okay, so let's do this. Analysis first, then the winning info. Click at your own risk, but there's no pics. Time of birth was approx 2115 this evening. So who won? I've genuinely not checked! I'm absolutely exhausted though.
  6. I don't think people realise how dangerous carbon monoxide is. At 35ppm, you'll get dizzy. At 100ppm, you'll have a banging headache. At 1600ppm, you'll be dead in 2 hours. At 12800ppm, you'll be dead in 3 mins. What's that in percentages? 1.28% for the last one. Absolutely nothing at all. It's absolutely lethal stuff.
  7. I have. Although it feels like it done me. How much description are people comfortable with?
  8. On the roads, you can drive a 200bhp car as quick as a 400bhp car. I proved with when I borrowed the old R56 Mini and went out for a drive with a 400bhp 350Z. Nothing in it. Imho, on regular roads unless you are prepared to seriously risk your licence by going over triple digits on NSL roads, then there's not a lot of point going past 200bhp/ton. That's a real sweet spot. If you're never going to regularly track your Zed, I'm not sure an FI conversion is worth it. If you track it then yes, on the power tracks that extra grunt is lovely
  9. One thing an ICE car gives you is the ability to drive anywhere, anytime. If I wanted to drive from here to China tomorrow I could in an ICE. No chance in an EV.
  10. I had more food for tea, haddock and veg with a sauce. A sauce! There are now rumblings. Genuine, bubbly rumblings. I don't want to get too excited as I've been here before, but...
  11. Jo had to leave early as apparently I've started self-fumigating the room
  12. Loads do it: R8, Gallardo, California etc. Not actually a bad idea, as it means you can change to any aftermarket exhaust without worrying about it fitting your rear bumper, or if it's going to mark on the tip, or if you don't like the aftermarket tip design etc. But no, not for me thanks.
  13. It's only a radiator, fill it with what you want.
  14. Dont! Still, they are "different" i guess! You and me both. Suicide doors I can live with, but gullwing on a van? Not sure what they were thinking.
  15. Update! ...Still no poo. But wind! Lots of wind! AND I'VE BEEN ALLOWED PROPER FOOD! I suspect a poo can't be too far away.
  16. As in you like them, or you don't?
  17. More the merrier, no such thing as too much cooling,
  18. Full EV is clearly the future, but only because we do not have unlimited oil. In 1000 years time when we've run out of the stuff, of course we'll be in EVs. The problem I have is spending that much money on something that kids are inevitably going to wreck at some point. If I was buying a car purely as something to transport kids in (because no parent is going to rag a car when they've got their own offspring in, so performance is ultimately irrelevant) then I can't see a benefit of buying this or any new premium vehicle when a used Mondeo will do the job just as well, and you won't care when the kids chuck their Weetabix over the seats You'd save an absolute fortune.
  19. Exactly how I felt about the Macan, surprising how such a relatively big and high-up car can feel just brilliant when you tip the nose in early, get on the gas and just let the clever 4wd stuff pull you round, whilst allowing for a moderate amount of slip. You can quickly see why people just have a small SUV as their only car, when the performance and handling of modern chassis is so good. Just a shame Tesla can't do anything about the slab of white plastic where the rads would normally be: Even some fake black honeycomb would improve that, especially in white. Maybe a wrap of some kind?
