  1. It was a really tough paper round
  2. Caroline Lucas is pretty hot, now you mention it... I'd love to turn up at a Green Party meeting in the 6er
  3. HR much better. And I say that as a former Revup owner (note, Revup is the DE facelift and Uprev is a remapping software).
  4. Liar, you're like 8ft at least. Only 'cos my mummy tells me I must be well over 6ft by now, and you tower over me
  5. That said, I would insist that the fitting is done correctly, and woe betide anyone who tried to bodge a job and just say TADTS. Nope. Not on my watch.
  6. Honestly, glass is glass and OEM or Pilkington it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Anything is better than glass with a dirty great crack through it! I've never specified OEM glass when having it changed. Granted that was only in the MR2 (didn't know better), VXR220 (likewise but was very careful with the fitting by AG) and the MX5 (too cheap to worry about). I wouldn't care about OEM glass on the BMW, it's 13 years old so anything will do.
  7. 52 years young mate, age is but a number HR engine (roughly 07 onwards, with the twin intakes and bonnet bulge) definitely worth the extra, having more revs transforms the experience
  8. Well they're just the worst pics ever Looking forward to seeing some better ones soon bud
  9. Pretty sure it's different depending on year. I know Lauren who competed in FW, and they had major issues when filming that as the only way to kill the TCS was to briefly flick the ignition on and off whilst doing proper speeds on track.
  10. This is outstanding work though fella, please don't ever stop
  11. Ooh crap, I forgot to mention the traction systems! Bit late now, but you cannot turn them off fully on the later ones: The very early ones were hot-wireable (see the Formula Women programme), then there was a year ('04 I think) where off meant off, then after that it became nearly impossible. Lexx would prob know more on this subject than me, but my friend who has a track one specifically sought out an '04 for this very reason.
  12. Fake? I'd say it's just a particularly crap one My AS one is superb, but it wasn't cheap.
  13. Agreed. It worked well in a Caterham because it's so light, but I wouldn't take the Bummer there.
  14. Thing is, I'm really not. I don't belong to any political party. I'm definitely right-wing in my views, but I've voted Labour as often as I've voted Conservative. Whoever will do the best job at any given time gets my vote, I'm not naive enough to simply tick the same box every time. However, even if I was a Tory supporter, I'm not sure why that's a bad thing. It's no worse than being a Labour or SNP supporter. Tbh, anyone who gives money to political parties is a bit odd IMHO!
  15. Chassis of the s2k isn't a patch on the 986. It has a depth of feel to the steering that the Honda could never match. No slight to the Stook, it's a brilliant car and still very much on my list, it's just the Boxster was (still is) the best car of its generation. S2k is better looking though, no arguments here.
  16. 1. Clean wheel 2. Clean wheel again 3. Make sure wheel is clean 4. Clean rim with supplied alcohol wipe 5. Stick Rimblade on. Easy as that
  17. Trouble with the S2K is that he already has two front engined RWD cars: Great if that's all you like, but the drives are a bit samey. That's why I'd go for the Boxster or Elise/VX, get something MR and enjoy a different experience.
  18. Combe was fun, more fun than I expected given the short round layout. I'd like to go back there again, deffo.
  19. Croft is on the list, looks a lovely place. I just found Rockingham to be devoid of anything interesting, the layout was so flat and the banking just dull. Not been there for many years though, not since the VXR220 went.
  20. Rubbish, I live further from Anglesey than you do and I still make the effort go there Donny is good fun though, prob my second fav UK circuit. I hate Rockingham though, dull as ditchwater.
  21. Anglesey > anything else. /thread Only circuit that betters it is Spa, but that's not UK so doesn't count. Closer to me than Anglesey is mind you!
  22. Not really, the M96 engine is the same design as the M97, so you still have bore scoring on the larger capacity 3.2L compared with the 2.5L or 2.7L, and you still have the IMS issue. IMS not a lot you can do really apart from buy a car having done 80k or more as generally if the bearing is going to go then it goes before then. Bore scoring is just a simple boroscope check, so easy done but definitely don't buy one without it. So you really want a high mileage 2.7L car for maximum security against problems, but a high mileage 3.2L is just as fine as long as you've had it checked out Aside from that, there's precious little to go wrong and it's the finest sports car of it's class.
