  1. Absolute madness. It’s just a 997 GTS with a double bubble roof and a ducktail!
  2. OPCs are normally pretty decent with test drives, certainly they’ve let me have them overnight before.
  3. My first instinct is to tell you to drive one first, before committing. They are amazing, but not everyone enjoys the weight distribution (I know, some folks are weird!) and it took me a year to get used to it properly. Outside of that, do you want 2WD or 4WD? My initial thoughts would be a 991.1 GTS, as you get the NA engine which is beautiful, plus as a GTS it’ll hold it’s value. The flip side would be the interior isn’t as modern as the current ones, which would certainly be in budget. At the mileage you’re looking at you can certainly expect some depreciation, but it depends on how much mileage you’re intending to put on it. The 991.2 and 992 are both fabulous turbo cars, and are ridiculously quick. Spec will be dependant on previous owner obviously, but I’d consider the 18 way adjustable seats an absolute must have. The other comfort stuff is down to individual taste, but do get the sports exhaust. The PDCC makes the car feel very nimble along with the rear wheel steering, however you do lose the traditional 911 feeling. I couldn’t decide whether I’d buy with or without tbh, and still can’t. Probably without and enjoy that fabulous chassis a bit better, and do the driving myself. I’ve loads more info if you need, see if you can find some examples of cars on PH or wherever and post them up and I’ll see if I can give you any more hints.
  4. They’ll fit in by a whisker. Purrfectly too, by all accounts. I went in with a cat once, only trouble was they wouldn’t let meowt. Since that last one was pushing it a bit, I’ll leave it there.
  5. 100k miles has been absolutely fine for any car produced in the last 20 years, excluding the very exotic. Brits seem to get paranoid at that number for no reason whatsoever.

    Stolen 350z

Cos that’s what always happens when you claim a total loss, there’s nothing left to insure so the policy is cancelled with no refund or you have to pay up the remaining instalments. Standard stuff.
  7. Let someone who will actually use it buy it? The mapping and the condition of the overall car, including service history since the install, is far more important than worrying about an out of date s/c.
  8. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/toyota_supra_pro_auto Maybe they looked at the figures for the new Supra and went, “Sod that”…
  9. Very possible. Also as likely as Boris and Sturgeon getting caught doing naughty things in a phone booth together.
  10. A perfect case for post-natal abortion, by the sounds of it
  11. And let’s not forget tax is peanuts compared to the fuel cost, so drive whatever and stuff it
  12. Which guy?? Pierre Le Wishful-Thinking?
  13. They can't even sell the Renault-favoured A110 in enough quantity to make it sustainable, so I doubt anyone from Renault said that at all. Besides, why would they say it's definitely not coming and then back track? Far better to say they're looking at it and keep interest up rather than have a potential buyer give up and buy another car.
  14. Not sure that any car has feet. Or fish.
  15. Everyone, if they pay by DD.
  16. I couldn’t buy a diesel as a fun car. I’d rather walk.
  17. An E46 is a great car, no doubt, but the E92 is even better. Gives you that incredible V8 as well, the likes of which we'll never see again.
  18. As good as they might be, I couldn’t buy one for the money people are asking. Not for FWD. I mean, we’re hitting the down curve of petrol cars and there’s better ways to enjoy the end of an era than in something so relatively straightforward IMHO.
  19. If that interests you, there’s a whole world of AMG V8 barges out there that would be a decent ownership prospect.
  20. Not for £17k any more sadly
