I have one. He's one of my best mates even though we live half a country apart, such a lovely guy but he's a fruit loop over Labour. Or rather, anti-Tory. I also have another couple who are proper champagne socialists, but you can have a perfectly reasoned debate with them and everything is discussed amicably. It's all very odd.

Why bother scrapping tuition fees? You already have the student vote, so appealing to them is a waste of time and money. Trying to be non-biased on this one, I'd say it's a manifesto of thirds. A third I agree wholeheartedly with (deliver superfast broadband, pay ratio cap in the public sector), a third I totally disagree with (any privatisation, scrapping NHS pay cap, extending HS2, levy on salaries above £330K), and a third I think is just utterly nonsensical and wonder where on earth they expect to find all the money trees required (more free childcare, more police, actually delivering superfast broadband!) 45p rate for over £80K, hey? Sounds like a winner, doesn't it? Oh wait, doesn't that just happen to be fractionally above the basic amount an MP earns? Why yes it is! Isn't that surprising? It's pie in the sky wishful thinking, and there's no way the sums add up. Like I said, some of it I think is a wonderful idea in a perfect world where we're all rich, but hammering f*ck out of the wealth creators of the country isn't the way to do it.

Agreed, you have no contract with Yodel, only with the seller. That's totally down to them to sort. Bit surprised that eBay have sided with the seller, even if at face value it may seem to be the right thing to do.
-
You don't have to prove really, they do. I'd be pushing the seller like crazy, it's the principle. If they don't learn they can't get away with using cheap crap delivery services, then they'll carry on doing it. Yodel should have some kind of paperwork proving it, if they can't supply that to their customer then that's their problem.
-
Maybe, but ultimately the seller is still liable and will have to either refund or replace as you say: If not, it's small claims time. I always either pay extra for people to use a proper delivery company (DPD, RM SD) or I just don't use that person/company any more. Anyone who uses Yodel or MyHerpes to deliver things should be banned from selling anything.

Erm well this is embarrassing, but they've both sold. Thanks for all the interest though!

I'm not allowed to buy another guitar until I sell one apparently, so with regret I invite you to COME BUY MY AWESOME STUFF. Collection much preferred, may deliver or meet you halfway if you don't live in Ukraine or anything daft. Try me, I'm flexible. 1997 Fender Squier Jagmaster - £150 This is a 1997 Japanese-made Fender Squier Jagmaster, from the original factory made under the Vista Series name. This is a second-issue guitar, as it has the 'bullet' truss rod adjuster at the headstock. The early Vista series guitars are significantly different from the later Chinese made ones, as here you have a proper 24" scale neck, vintage style tuners and most importantly the Vista Tone humbuckers, rather than the cheaper lifeless ones in the later guitars. I've personally owned this guitar since new, and it's been a pleasure to own and fully enjoy. Never gigged, only ever used in a smokeless home. There is the odd chip and dink in the body, so let's call it well-loved, but as you can see the metallic fleck in the Candy Apple Red paintwork is stunning when the light catches it. The neck is in perfect condition, and all the electronics (toggle switch included) work wonderfully. The guitar has a gorgeous rasp to the tone, and fizzes without being harsh or buzzy like some Squiers can be. The short scale neck is very fast to work on, and superb if you're a smaller guitarist (I'm of average height myself, but I really enjoy the shorter scale necks compared to the longer ones for ease of use). This Jagmaster has just been fully cleaned from top to bottom, and I've put a brand new set of Ernie Ball 9s on it for the new owner. It really is a joy to play, and I hope the next owner appreciates it as much as I have. 2000 Epiphone SG-400 - £125 This is a 2000 model, built in the Korean factory before the '02 move to Chinese-production. Mahogany body with a rosewood fingerboard, and the trapezoidal inlays. This guitar has been owned by me since new, and it's been a pleasure to own and fully enjoy. Never gigged, only ever used in a smokeless home. There is the odd chip and dink in the body, so let's call it well-loved, but as you can see the gorgeous finish showing the natural wood below is as stunning as always. The dual humbuckers give the classic SG tone, and given the weight distribution there really is nothing quite like how an SG actually feels to play (and rock out with!). The neck is in wonderful condition, and plays beautifully. This guitar has had a recent deep clean and setup at Essex Amp Repairs in Witham, and been freshly strung with a set of D'Addario 10s so is all ready to go to the new owner. MORE PICS OF BOTH GUITARS HERE ************************************** Mods, I'm rubbish at remembering to put the piece of paper in the pics as always, so please accept this as proof it's me and these things do really exist:

That's my other half's school, where she's now the head Many thanks for posting that up Aashenfox, they're actually well oversubscribed now (had to turn 30 cars down I believe) as the event is so popular. But please, by all means if people want to come along so see the cars on display then do, it's a great afternoon and last year we had an excellent display with cars ranging from the local Ferrari owner's club, a classic '60s Stang (which was my favourite) and even an 11 year old girl in her proper drag car. I've deliberately kept out of who's coming this year so it'll be as much a surprise for me as every one else, but I'm looking forward to it.

Lewis isn't even close to Jackie. I'm not convinced I've ever heard JS do an interview without mentioning the fact he's a triple world champion or referring to something he did in his day or basically any time he's spoken about someone other than himself Lewis is a moany old sod with questionable taste, but he does at least talk about other people. Out of all the drivers on the I think Vettel is probably the guy I'd pick to go for a beer with, just seems like a decent guy who is much more comfortable in himself, and he's funny as f*ck when he starts taking the mick. Alonso too, but just so I can really hear what he thinks of his company car...

Cut the seatbelt mount point off and re-attached it elsewhere?

If you want to go faster, spend the money on driver training, tyres and brakes. In that order.

I like the automatic systems you get in the WEC cars, that automatically lets drivers know when and where the cars are behind them. Very clever.

What gives you that idea?

£200 extra because you do not have experience! WTF??
Ekona replied to Dragonfire's topic in Insurance
Heh, my other half had that when she bought her current Impreza. When pointed out that she'd previously been driving the exact same Impreza 3 years ago until she sold it they were happy enough to insure her -

Insure with someone else? -
I hated 911s until I drove one. Then I pretty much knew I wanted nothing else.

Now watch those options like the wooden wheel become Exclusive options. /cynical Not a bad spec, but the green is a bit of an odd choice. Trouble is I suspect the first one was either silver or cream, neither of which is exactly special enough to celebrate.
